Re: Latvia
Just awesome!
The housewives of Europe will lap that one up...fat Vic Reeves at number 3 steals the show.
Now this one could catch the imagination on the night...they're such an eclectic mix of chaps that there's something there for everyone.
80s man kicks it off, followed by typical Latin crooner, followed by Undertaker, followed by the guy the undertaker is probably here to pick up, indie band filler, finished off with a chipmunk/human.
Not singing in English might be the only thing...but this one's got legs.

Re: Latvia
Yeah its like a Latvian barbershop quartet. I dont like it though. Might work live though, so I will reserve judgment. Nah, actually it wont work live. Its crap.

Re: Latvia
Last year I turned to my wife when the eventual winner was performing and said those immortal words "nil point".
Well it was something different and so too is this entry from Latvia. They also have the advantage of potential friendly votes from the other Baltic states.
Well worth £30 @ 45/1
Many thanks to Komp for posting the vids.
I sat through them all

Re: Latvia
Yup I'm on too Was...good to see you. There's nothing to count against it - geography, style of song, catchiness, unique...everything there.
Edit: Apart from the language...that's the one negative.

Re: Latvia
I think it's a case of sitting tight and waiting for the gamble on this one...I can't see it being any longer than 30s by the off so if you want on the Latvia train the time is now folks.

Re: Latvia
I'm having probs with the video in here still but I did get the first minute or so and I have to say....... OMG!!!! This is a eurovision nightmare. Terrible, terrible, terrible. It's like being down the pub with the old drunks on the karaoke. I simply cannot imagine this winning. Ever. I'll need to come back though after seeing it all the way through.

Re: Latvia
With great regret I've laid my punt off for now for no damage.
Looking through the past winners, I cant see any basis to think Latvians singing in Italian can win this...it really is English or bust. I still think it's a cracking entry but it'll just be sentimental support from me, unless a nice wee match bet materialises.

Re: Latvia
1st watch for me there and i don't know what to make of it. Will the crowd cheer as each one starts singing? Could be good for it if they do. I don't think the foreign language will go against this song as we're all so used to hearing this sort of stuff sung in Italian. All i can say for now is....interesting

Re: Latvia
Reading previous posts this one seems fairly popular. Well I didn't like it, so there.:gett1n
Ach, easy listening and probably out the Euro mould so I'd expect it to do well, as I said though, definitely not my cup of tea.
