Karl-Heinz Rumour Mill

Well, the window is slightly ajar with room for a few more last minute transfers to squeeze through between now and the end of the month. Thought I would start a thread for the bold, the beautiful and the bizarre activities that are rumoured to take place between now and then. I love football rumours and I love getting into a frenzy about them. I love going into a pub and hearing how Del Piero and his agent have been seen shopping for a house in Grimsby, which has got to mean there is a transfer on the cards. I love the gossip, the conspiracies and the rumours. Long may the rumour mill keep turning....... I will update it every day with all the transfers that I can see knocking about, if you see any stick 'em up here.

Bill might be making an offer to purchase 49% of the club, with a deal for the new stadium to be kitted out with the latest in technology as a test for future tech etc...

Not sure how concrete this is, but sounds like a great idea to me if we have the most advanced technology at the supporters finger tips etc. whilst watching the game.

Everton

Quote:
Van De Meyde - LM - We are desperate for some flair, experienced and cheap too.

Agger - CB - He is worth a bid and we need his strength too.

Keane - CF - Flair player and would be welcomed, also on the last year of contract

Baros - CF - Pace player for Beattie or 4-5-1, welcome in my book but could be expensive

Morratti - CM - Roma ban lifted, young and experienced player

Ferrari - CB/LB - Young and looking to move to England. Desperate for cover at CB

Owen - CF - Anything can happen in football I suppose..!

Re: Karl-Heinz Rumour Mill

well.......

Some of the gossip dredged from the back pages of the red tops......

Michael Owen is due to go to Liverpool on loan untiil the end of the season and he should sign permanantly then. Apparently Rafa the Gaffer wants to save his transfer kitty for a centre back. Jorge Andrade seems to be the favourite after Brum asked for 12mil for Upson.......

David Bellion has gone on loan to my old club West Ham....

Spurs have got rid of one striker in Kanoute and now apparently are in for Dirk Kuijt....12 mil apparently the fee......pah

31 year old David Unsworth is on the verge of joining Sheffield United....

Seth Johnson has re-joined Derby after 4 years away. I have a tenner here that says he wont be on 35k a year like....

Jay Jay Okocha is apparently ready to leave sunny Bolton for rainy Qatar with Al-Rayyan the likely destination.

Garry Flitcroft (twat) looks like he may be on the way to Leeds on loan......

Looks like Freddy Shepherd is ready to scupper the Anelka deal as he is unwilling to released the funds (£8 million) to bring everyones favourite french nutter to Toon Side

.....and finally......looks like Viana will be staying at Newcastle for the time being. No one has been willing to make a cash bid that matches Newcastle's valuation. £8million seemed a lot at the time for him and it seems even more now....

Sure I read the Okocha thing was dead in the water

Unsworth would be a good signing for Warnock IMO

Yeah i have seen this on many websites but i could've sworn on Sky Sports News about an hour ago Souness was on basically saying it was off due to Newcastle not being able to afford him no more as he was priced out of a move by Deportivo.

Re: Karl-Heinz Rumour Mill

I am just surprised, considering they have been linked with half of Europe, that there has been no Newcastle rumour on Baros. He's available and he would run about like an arse doing Shearers work for him. Seems the ideal sort.

Re: Karl-Heinz Rumour Mill

crowie - aye they seem only too happy to offer 8million for France's favourite problem child, but Souness obviously doesnt rate Baros. From a fan's perspective he's great and tries his hardesr all the time. Maybe he thinks Baros lacks the class and the finish of Ameobi....

Re: Karl-Heinz Rumour Mill

Thats the exact thought my mate Jesus mentioned to me yesterday exactly why they haven't gone for Baros but like AFU says Souness musn't rate him at all which is surprising compared to some of the pish that Souness has signed before. Crabbi/Grabbi or whatever the Italians name was he got for Blackburn springs to mind.

Re: Karl-Heinz Rumour Mill

Lyon have come in with 8.5 for Baros apparently....I thought Villa were struggling when Essien finally signed & gave Houllier the spondoolies to bid.
Just confirms where Villa are in the pecking order I reckon....too tight to up the bid from 6.3 (?) to the required 7 milllion.....very similar thing happened with Robbie Keane when he left Wolves, Villa bid 5.5 but Wolves wanted 6, it dragged on but Ellis would'nt raise his bid & coventry came in & paid the 6 & then sold him a year later to Inter for around 12.5 ffs !! Will we never learn ??

Re: Karl-Heinz Rumour Mill

Lets be honest,Swooperman,do we ever actually get our main transfer target? I read before the season started that O'Leary was well pleased that he had got 4 of the players on his list of targets he gave to the board, blimey Berger,Hughes,Philips and Taylor!!!! He does aim high doesnt he??

And i see that Nobby Solano would love to join Liverpool!!!

Bugger it, we r gonna get relegated
