Re: Karl-Heinz Rumour Mill
Marlon King's move to Fulham looks to be off, apparently he's failed a medical and the £5m deal appears to be in jeopardy.
Remember years ago when Van Nistelrooy failed a medical at United, was apparently fit and well and then suffered that horrific knee injury soon after. Eeeeuw I remember seeing it on TV and you could just hear him scream when it went 'pop' |

Re: Karl-Heinz Rumour Mill
More figments of imagination from lazy Fleet Street hacks in today's rags. I think that sunday papers are the worst for it, the journo's have all week to write their stories and like lazy teenagers, probably put off their essay to the last minute. Then on the tube into work on the Saturday avo, they have to quickly scribble down any old shite and that's why today's rags are chockablock full of rumours and speculation that dont even deserve to see print.
And fucking hell, if they come in and buy Michael Carrick for anywhere near £18m - they are more deluded than I had ever dared to believe. I would have Sissoko, Albelda or Poulson over him any day. Fuck, you could probably have all 3 for the money they are quoting JUST for Carrick there.
The rest of them, I cant really be arsed with.

Re: Karl-Heinz Rumour Mill
The saddest thing is that he will get it. Free transfer in the summer and some mug of a club will pay it to him.
Thats why there's no point in having a 39th game in my opinion, all it would do is allow players and agents to ramp up their wage demands even more. The only people that benefit from more money in football are the players themselves. |

Re: Karl-Heinz Rumour Mill
Inter Milan have shown an interest in Alexander Hleb and reports claim the midfielder might be leaving Arsenal, why leave Arsenal for Inter, wouldnt think Inter are a better equip club for Champions league success after Liverpool didnt have alot of problem dispatching them and even in their own league are in the process of letting a big points lead slip to Roma who looked very ordinary in the champs league.Unless there has been a fall out between player and club.

Re: Karl-Heinz Rumour Mill
According to today's Marca, Spurs are apparently in talks with Barcelona over signing Eto'o. They say Barcelona are prepared to negotiate too, although they reckon they'll not take less than 35m euros.

This is an Etoo who is around 28 yrs old, Not a player at the end of his career so why he would choose Spurs is beyond me. Load of rubbish IMO. He is a first team regular at Barca, exchange that for White Hart Lane? Nah can't see it happening. |

Re: Karl-Heinz Rumour Mill
With Rijkaard on his way now and Barcelona trophyless for the second year running, they'll be looking to rebuild, and Eto'o leaving wouldn't be a big surprise at all. He's already threatened to leave if they don't win a trophy next season. Spurs would be a surprise move though, not sure what could convince him they're the club to win him trophies
