Aye, seems like Arsene and Alex have signed 2 keepers who are past their best as a stop gap measure. Though I still think Van Der Sar is a great keeper, he surely would have been a better buy 3 years ago. Ah well, it seems both of them are too proud to admit they are wrong and solve the problem completely. Appears to me like a half measure as if to say that they are right in assuming their keepers are up to the job, but just need a bit more cover in the position.

Jeffers is a player that has always puzzled me. I presume he has ability but has not done anything of note in the last 4 years. Anyone know how much he has cost the 'Gers?

Celtic sign China international defender Du Wei on a four-year deal.
Perhaps they could rename Parkhead to Amarrillo.

Rangers will be glad to get rid of ball of the wage bill.

ODM - My mate was so upset about Raziak leaving he felt the need to call me at 3am this morning to tell me.

To be fair though - Raziak hasnt had the start or impact that he had last season. How much did he go for? If its a couple of million then its a good bit of business i reckon.

Shame they didnt have time to replace him though.

The loss of Rasiak is a massive blow and he will do well for Spurs!

I would imagine he'd do well for Spurs in the Carling Cup against the lower division sides as i don't think he will get much opportunities in the first team in the Premiership. Probably be restricted to just substitute appearences.

I can see him going straight into the side partnering Defoe up front...would work well. Martin Jol doesnt seem to have a clue who his best players are in any position!

Rasiak went for £2million I think. Shame that Derby should have to sell someone for such a low amount. Though I am sure it will go off their debt. Does the transfer window apply to the Championship? Will Derby have time to find a replacement of sorts? I am sure they can bring loans in for the next few weeks at least...
