Re: Karl-Heinz Rumour Mill

Deby have signed Laurent Robert and Robbie Savage.

I quite like Savage and dont think he's worthy of his hard man tag, I think he's actually a decent footballer and is anything but a thug of a player.

Robert is a moody cunt.

Re: Karl-Heinz Rumour Mill

Savage would have been a good signing for Sunderland. Type of player you need when you need to battle for every point. Sunderland were offering more as well apparently and look to have much better prospects (short and medium term) to Derby.

Re: Karl-Heinz Rumour Mill

I dont think Derby could have competed with Sunderland in terms of transfer fee or wages so I assume the move to derby was made because of personal choice. Maybe Keane and Lily didnt hit it off.....

Re: Karl-Heinz Rumour Mill

I think the possibility of Jib Cisse coming back to the prem is an interesting one. I can see Bolton selling Sir Sulkalot and snapping up the Lord of Frodsham himself. I think Cisse has goals in him and a club like Bolton that knows how to handle big ego's would be perfect for him.

Only young too and he is a menace to defences and a great goal scorer with great pace too.

I wouldn't mind Celtic getting him as cover at the minute with the hope of him bursting into the team in the next 12 months or so.
You have been playing FM2007 as well, haven't you.

Re: Karl-Heinz Rumour Mill

I think Stephen Hunt would be a good signing for the Mackems. Just the sort of player who will get stuck in about teams. He seems a right narky little fucker (if he was a central midfielder Liverpool would have bought him by now) and is just the sort Keane needs. Think he is one of those players who seems to be getting better the more he is in the EPL.

I noticed that after Reading rejected Sunderlands first offer Hunt was quoted as saying "I told them exactly what I thought of that". Mr Grumpy.

Crowie - you love reinforcing the idea that we have a team full of narky centre mids dont you

Lucas is a cultured player with the range of a muck sprayer, Alonso is an artist, Gerrard is Europe's foremost driving midfielder and Mascherano is a little terrier but skillful all the same.

Momo's a yard dog mind and sadly always will be. I honestly blame his eye injury...

Re: Karl-Heinz Rumour Mill

Interesting here - City are interested in Mancini the Roma winger.

Quote:
Sven-Goran Eriksson is determined to bring Roma winger Mancini to Manchester City, according to reports in the Italian press.

The Brazilian is contracted to the Serie A club until 2009 but is not expected to sign a new deal with Luciano Spalletti's side.

And Eriksson is clearly a fan, seeing him as a player capable of rivalling Cristiano Ronaldo of city rivals Manchester United.

"I want Mancini here immediately as he is the ideal man to strengthen my squad," Eriksson told Il Romanista.

"He could become my Cristiano Ronaldo.

"Money isn't a problem for us, but it depends on whether Roma want to sell him.

"I know that contract talks have hit a brick wall, but we will have to talk to his agent Gilmar Veloz."

City have so far signed Mexico international Nery Castillo on loan from Ukrainian side Shakhtar Donetsk and have had a bid rejected by Marseille for France striker Djibril Cisse.
Rafa was interested in signing him in the summer, couldnt afford him and so switch attention to Ryan Babel. Will be interesting to see if Citeh can stump up the cash to sign him. Worrying signs for us if we're consistantly seeing our targets go to other EPL clubs that can afford them.

Which is what I was saying over a week ago in the Prem thread (when The Sun and the other papers were still reporting that Savage was going to be a Sunderland player

2/1/08 before the Bolton game (which they lost to a last minute goal)

I fancy Derby to get at least a point tonight to be honest. They are a bit better than their last four games have suggested.

1-1 draw I reckon.

By the way, I've just had a text to say that Robbie Savage is there with Paul Jewel.

Transfer maybe?

I would have thought Savage would have rated himself as better than that to be honest but you never know.

Personally, I think Jewel has pampered to Savage's ego and told him that he was going to make him his captain and build the team around him in midfield. I don't like the bloke but even I rate him higher than a championship battler which is what he's going to spend his time doing next season.

Re: Karl-Heinz Rumour Mill

I think he's a better player than most give him credit for. He'll look positively cultured in the Championship.

Re: Karl-Heinz Rumour Mill

I agree he is a better player than he's given credit for AFU but he'll get less time, more clatterings and therefore more yello cards in the CCC than he will in the Prem. He'll bring some confidence to the Derby midfield.

Unfortunately, with the walking bunk bed that is Moore and co at the back, it's a losing battle.

What they need is an experienced defender who can organise and talk the other cunts through a game in exactly the same way as Warren Barton did when he first went there. Preferably a central defender though.

Re: Karl-Heinz Rumour Mill

Yes he's just coming back from knee surgery.

And of course he broke his leg last year (which I have to admit, did make me giggle a bit)

  • Was just thinking there, the best type of "fuck off " is the following; You`re playing astro, 5 a side, someone shouts "handball" and the "fuck off" response is fucking class.
