Re: Karl-Heinz Rumour Mill

Newcastle will sign Faye (who can play centre half or centre mid) and the whole Neville thing is bollocks. More than likely his agent is trying to arrange Pneville a better contract.

£4m for of a player of his age doesnt seem like a good deal when you can get the reliable Faye for half of that. He's a good few years younger as well.

Wouldnt be Big Sam's style to spunk the cash on an old player like Pneville.

Re: Karl-Heinz Rumour Mill

AFU looks like your completely wrong about Chopra and im completely right

What was your forefit now from that bet? Nugent is pants, Chops is the real deal.

Early days obv but the disagreement is still fresh in my mind.

What was it now, I said id rate Chopra as a good little player who will score more than Nugent.

You laughed at me, taking the piss, brilliant.

When Chopra starts banging in more than Nugent I am going to rub it in your face so much for being such a noob about it.

I will of course post proof on TDP.

You have your bet Mr Townsend.

Re: Karl-Heinz Rumour Mill

Bit of an odd one here. on August 6th, Sam Allardyce said "In the end, we decided Kieron was undervalued" and Newcastle United decided not to sell Dyer for £6m.

They obviously thought he was worth more.

10 days later, the transfer goes through. And the amount quoted in the media, the derisory sum of £6m.

Answers on a postcard for anyone that can explain that one away.

Sam's switched his brain back on, realised that he doesn't need Dyer in the team, he ain't reliable fitness wise, he could do anything off the park (seems to write off one sports car per season) and for £6m he could get Faye and Bouba Diop probably.

£6m for Dyer is a deal and a half for Newcastle IMO.

Re: Karl-Heinz Rumour Mill

Apparently weve pretty much signed Fernandes

Word is weve bought him outright, as in also paid off the 3rd party ownership to avoid all the hassle that brings.

If we actually do get him as well as Fernandes our squad is gona be awesome. Me and my Bro were discussing a couple of weeks ago the only areas we needed some extra quality and we decided that a passing midfielder who could keep hold of the ball and a quality striker was all that was needed and Fernandes and Yakubu fit the bill to a tea. If we get them 2 were the best team outside the top 4 imo and I wouldnt be suprised if we sneaked into 4th either.

Re: Karl-Heinz Rumour Mill

I like Everton's team - they have a mix of grafters (Osman, Carsley etc) and genuine talent such as the ever impressive Arteta.
