City Players - Not fit to wear the shirt?
Loads of irate fans giving Barton stick at the end when he made a nice gesture and threw his shirt into the crowd. I thought City did ok today, Blackburn edged a poor game and Derbyshire's quality late goal flattered them. It was neck and neck to be honest for 85 minutes. Besides score twice, Blackburn did nothing.
I think they fans were a bit harsh there, especially on Barton who seems to be the only one that gives a toss most weeks.
Samaras and Corradi are without doubt the worst front pairing the Prem has ever seen.

I can't really give an opinion on this match, as I only saw the last 15 minutes but I think I know a worse Premier League front-pairing.

Re: City Players - Not fit to wear the shirt?
Nah Samaras is actually a good player, he has a decent scoring record, not good but tis decent especially considering the service.
Plus Pearce half the time plays him on the left or right wing, dont forget that.
Anyway Pearce has to go, he actually has to go, he's an idiot.
Corradi breaks down all our attacks, seriously watch him give away countless fouls (i think he is actually the top fouler in the prem, and thats opta stats) or is up there.. if he isnt fouling he is offside, or giving the ball away.
Now thats all fair enough, but then he has scored in 2 out of about 26 matches he has played.
Thats also fair enough, yet Pearce constantly plays him..this is what really gets me, he is actually clueless, he is a simpleton.
He has no idea for tactics, you can have a go at the players, but they dont know how to play, individually there are some good players on that team but they just dont know what they are doing.
Pearce has to be sacked, we finished 15th last year, we'll be lucky to finish that high again, and teams like Reading and Bolton are flying having spent less money than Pearce so how dare he complain about lack of investment.
He has been so lucky to get so many good youngsters.
Please sack him now, he is a terrible manager, he had a good first 15 games, since then we have been awful.
Is everybody thick in the city boardroom not too see this.
In our 14 home games we have failed to score in 8 of them, that is shocking.

Re: City Players - Not fit to wear the shirt?
Well Chris its hard to disagree with someone when they make a point thats 100% correct.
I know he's a nice guy and Im not questioning him as a person or his integrity but as a football manager he seems to have many deficiencies. He seems to fall down in 3 main areas tactics, transfer policy and motivating his players. To be honest, they're 3 big areas to come short in when you're being paid to achieve results with a football team.
Its looking bleak for Citeh at the moment and with Pearce in charge, I cant see them turning the corner especially not some time soon given the games they have in the near future:
Chelsea (home)
Boro (away)
Toon (away)

Re: City Players - Not fit to wear the shirt?
Think the thing that would have narked City fans off yesterday was FA Cup 1/4 final, a decent tie ie not Man U, Chelsea etc and with 10 (?) mins to go City hadn't had a shot in target in the entire game. With the chance of a FA Cup semi place, and possibly even final, going out without a shot on target is just unacceptable.
I think footy fans can forgive their team losing if they give it a good go but going out like that is just sickening. I remember going all the way to Brussels for a Belgium v Scotland Euro qualifier, think winner would go through, and Scotland didn't have a shot on target in 90 mins, totally pissing me off.
Tell you what, wouldn't argue with that bird giving it laldy in the City end

That would be a contradiction.
You are implying that I was loving Pearce last year, and therefore why would I want him to go to England and leave my club if love him?
Makes no sense, if I was saying Pearce for England then it would be because Id have hoped they would take him off us.

Re: City Players - Not fit to wear the shirt?
I think chris wanted Pearce intially and we all wanted him given his chance, he's had it now and should walk as that's was the most pathetic display I have witnessed since the Frank Clarke days.
To go out of the cup with a whimper like this is appalling and unless we take action now this wont be our lowest point this season.
He simply hasn't got a clue , all his team have walked out on him, his ridiculous animated touchline antics have become embarrasing , telling the players where to throw the fukin ball ffs!
Taking on the u21's was bewildering but everything can be forgiven were the team actually trying to play and win which they clearly are not.
He must go now

Just reading this line from an interview with teamtalk where he contends that there's not much wrong at Citeh!
Quote:

"You do get stick if you do not win enough games. It is important I shield the players.

You fukin clueless cnut, fuk off from our fukin club now, he isn't fit to sit in the same chair once occupied by Joe Mercer , he's a fukin idiot , an electrician gone too far.
He is too thick to realise that attempts to portray these fukin lazy millionaires as poor weak willed victims whose confidence is wafer thin and they should be kept in the dark about how much the fans hate them wearing our shirt is basically a slap in the face , a stick in the eye to any city fan who's had to put up with this kind of dire spectacle for over 30 years.

Its terrible isnt it, awful being a city fan at present.

That is 100% correct, it obviously isnt working and it just shows what a complete tit he is, it was slightly endeering at first but now its just like you say embarrassing.
I remember when you were talking about how he should look to british players as all these foreigners are all flopping and its true.
Coraddi, dabo, hamaan, trabelsi, beasely.
Add to that the ridiculous signing of Dickov, who everybody and i mean everybody knew would score at most 3 goals a season, he wasnt good enough for us when he was 30 so why would he be at 34?? Nothing against him though, just Pearce the clueless idiot.
Ive left samaras out because I think he is a good player, being ruined at the moment.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KJNYfGNqTRE He looks a bit of class in this video.

Re: City Players - Not fit to wear the shirt?
Manchester City are 13/2 to be relegated, thats a massive price, i think it is about a 6/4 shot.
This time last season I think we won 1 of our last 14 games or something to that effect. who is to say it wont happen again.

The Charlton game in 4 games time looks a biggy then Chris. They have winnable home games v Newcastle and Wigan coming up before hand, City have Chelsea at home then away to Boro and Newcastle.
Be interesting to see how many points Charlton can pick up over the last few games

Re: City Players - Not fit to wear the shirt?
Some more great quotes from Stu
"This is a fantastic club to work for and I plan to be here for much longer than that."
That should please the fans :wasntme
My favourite ......
City fans booed the team off after their 2-0 Cup defeat at Blackburn on Sunday, singing "you're not fit to wear the shirt" as the final whistle blew, but Pearce urged them to adopt a more positive stance
 A postive stance , for f**ks sake.
