Re: Figo to Inter Milan

As simple as that.

A good signing IMO and i wouldve liked to have seen him in the Premiership. Getting on a bit but the talent is still there and he wouldve been a good addition to the EPL. Can be a bit of a moan at times when things aren't going his way though.

Re: Figo to Inter Milan

Yes as you say Kiko, a fantastic player but a bit past his best.

I'm not taking the piss here but if I could pick one player in very recent years who I would really really loved to have seen in the Prem it would be Larrsen ex of Celtic.

Fantastic player and great in the air for his size. I'm not going on about the standard of Scottish football (I'm even sick of hearing myself and nobody is biting any more ) but the likes of Zidane, Figo, Ronaldo etc who people would normally nominate as players they would have liked to have seen in the EPL have proven themeslves in other top leagues.

Larrsen has proven himself to be a fantastic player against top class defenders at international level but it would have been great to see him doing it week in, week out in the EPL.

I admire the bloke so much, I may even learn how to spell his name correctly

Re: Figo to Inter Milan

Yeah - a great model professional player in my eyes. Will always have the utmost respect for him.

Was funny though how everyone doubted him saying "he could never manage it in a top league" while at the same time he was doing it game in game out in the European stage against some of the top sides. Then he had a great Euro 2004 and a decent world cup 2002 if i remember right. Remember a neat little goal against Italy he scored.

I do think he would have done well in the EPL. Obviously not the standards he set up Scotland in terms of goals but he would get his fair share of them.

What a difference aswell. His first game for Celtic away to Hibs i remember being at my mates watching it when he came on against Hibs. Lost Celtic the game with a right sloppy pass which led to Charnley scoring a screamer. Remember saying to my mate "oh fuck, what pile of shite we have gone and signed here". Never have been a believer in first impressions since.

I get comparisons with Larsson actually ODM. Im quite short and play upfront. Bang the goals in for fun but am a great team player and work my socks off and create lots of chances for my team mates. Im great in the air also
