Champions League Final Tickets

The ballot is now open for them. It can be accessed here via the UEFA website.

9'000 tickets available - you gotta be in it to win it.

This year's final will be held in Athens by the way.

Re: Champions League Final Tickets

what do you do if Liverpool don't get to the final, sell them on? Is it Glasgow where the final is this year?

Re: Champions League Final Tickets

I would go to the game regardless Burt. I was considering the same for the UEFA too.

I just like football mate, I've even been to watch Gateshead play....

Re: Champions League Final Tickets

Hmmmm

I am looking at various options for going to Athens for the EC Final. I will be travelling from Newcastle/Manchester or Liverpool depending on what is cheapest.

I think the best option is to fly to any European airport and connect on to Athens so I get my flight cheaper. Easyjet is £500 return from London inc taxes. They have banged the prices up in anticipation of English travellers. The c*nts.

Another option I am looking at is to fly to Budapest (cheap as chimps) and then to get a train from Budapest to Greece (thessalinka i think it is) and a connection to Anthens. It will take a bit longer but its an adventure and would save me a fortune.

I have the whole of the week off work and am up for something daft. If anyone can come up with a stupid route to Athens, please feel free to add them here.

Re: Champions League Final Tickets

Sky Europe have flights into Athens from Prague and Krakow, which are both reachable from Newcastle with Easyjet. They (Sky Europe) also fly into Athens from Budapest, Bratislava and Vienna. Think you can also get Sky Europe flights from Manc land to Bratislava and Krakow and also to Salzburg (train on to Vienna). Their website is slow as fuck though.

Thats Which Budgets list of carriers/countries flying directly into Athens. You can alter it a bit if your wanting to land somewhere else in Greece and train it to Athens.

You should certainly be able to do it for under £200 if you have a weeks worth of travelling time. Lots of German options available as well which should all be reachable from the UK cheaply.

Re: Champions League Final Tickets

Cheers Crowie. Ideally I wouldnt spend my whole week travelling, but I think it would be a bit of an adventure and worthwhile. The club will probably arrange a charter flight for about £350 per person. I could do a week away for that mate.
