Re: Can Man Utd Win The League?

Im not counting them out YET but I would if Man Utd win today. If Man Utd dont beat Arsenal, game on still for sure. But if Utd win today yeah I think they win the title, massive shock if they didnt.

You think Chelsea can catch 10 points on Man Utd in 14 games? Man Utd will probably only drop about 10 points from the whole lot mate! If Man Utd win id make them about a 1/9 shot to win the title.

Well i hope so Trainbairn, well either them or the Scouse, its not the first time United have come unstuck trying to protect a 1 goal lead allthough Fergie usually does in in Europe and not the Prem, Had to laff at the end when Leiman went down pointing to his foot after collecting a nothing ball like united were doing for the last half hr of the game.

Not only CAN they win the league, according to Boylesports, they already HAVE.

I got this email from Boylesports saying that they are paying out on all single bets on Man U to win the league.

Strikes me as a little premature to be honest . I've backed the buggers but not with Boyles

Having watched Manchester United cruise to victory over Tottenham on Sunday, we here at boylesports.com feel they are dead certs to be Premiership Champions this year.

In fact, we are so certain that we have already

Re: Can Man Utd Win The League?

They've obviously done their sums and it's not going to cost them too much and hopefully the word spreads and more punters sign up.

Hope they live to regret it mind

Re: Can Man Utd Win The League?

Well think its safe to say MAN uTD are destined for the title now after going 2 weeks running scoring late winners.

Todays game was unbelievable as they were never in the game at all but champions dig deep and win games like these.

Funny thing is, i was just tinking minutes before the goal that Man Utd could be in trouble as Larssons about to leave, Rooney went off injured and Scholes had an injury before being sent off.

Man Utd still have to go to Chelsea but Chelsea really cant afford to drop any more points now.

It would be the biggest turn around in Premiership history so far if Utd fail to win the league now. They have been poor in their last 4 games but have still won them all.

Dunnno about the biggest turnaround Kop. Im beginning to get some belief about Chelsea if im honest now.

Another average performance from Man Utd last night. They arent playing too well at the minute and the coming weeks dont look too promisiing for them.

Very short on the attacking front at the minute. Saha and Solksjaer out for a month. Larsson is about to leave leaving just Rooney and a half fit Smith.

Scholes is going to miss 3 games due to his sending off and add to that Fletcher now being injured for sometime the team is now looking very stretched.

The one saving grace they have at the minute is in the 4 games run up to the game away to Chelsea they have 3 of them games at home to Bolton, Blackburn and Sheff utd.

I wouldnt be so confident if i was a United fan at the minute thats for sure.

Re: Can Man Utd Win The League?

Very interesting month coming up in the title race hopefully. Heres the next 3 fixtures for each

Man Utd

17th Mar - H Bolton
31st Mar - H Blackburn
7th Apr - A Portsmouth

Chelsea

17th Mar - H Sheff Utd
31st Mar - A Watford
7th Apr - H Tottenham

Not an easy 3 matches for Man U there all against top half opposition. If Chelsea can close the 6pt gap a bit over those 3 games then this game will be a bit of fun

15th Apr - Chelsea v Man Utd

Re: Can Man Utd Win The League?

Tbh, it'll prob be a max of 2 points picked up by Chelski I reckon.

Chelsea to win all, Man U to draw one of the three

Re: Can Man Utd Win The League?

It seems as if Gary Neville may be out for some time. 6 weeks according to today's times - so that will definitely have a knock on effect on their title challenge.

Quote:
Manchester United’s hopes of an unprecedented second treble have been dealt a significant blow after it emerged yesterday that Gary Neville, the club captain, could be out of action for up to another six weeks because of injury.

Neville is expected to miss the whole of next month and faces a race to be fit in time for the potential Barclays Premiership title decider against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge on May 9.

It is not clear whether Neville has suffered a setback in his recovery from ankle ligament damage that he suffered in the 4-1 victory at home to Bolton Wanderers ten days ago or whether United’s initial suggestion that he would be sidelined for three weeks was optimistic.

Re: Can Man Utd Win The League?

What do we reckon about tonight then? Could the hammers throw a spanner in the works with regards to the title race?

United seem to pick up more and more injuries but the Juggernaut keeps on rolling. Their make-shift defence is fairing well I think. They have to play City dont they which could be a potential tricky one and of course they are yet to play Chelsea too. However, the race could be all but over before the 2 clubs now meet at Stamford Bridge in May.
