Re: January Transfer window
Birmingham are finalising a deal for Kenny Miller for £700,000.
He's a player who I never, ever thought I'd see back in the Premiership. He's Championship class at best . It's alright banging them in against in the amateur league up north but he won't get ten fucking goals this season in the Prem. Granted £700,000 is fuck al but only a Scotsman could rate this useless bastard. He is a grafter alright and if the plan is to play one bloke up front to run about like a twat and just keep your fingers crossed then I can think of few people better for that money but it stinks of a total lack of any kind of ambition and I will have no sympathy if they go down playing this clown. |

Re: January Transfer window
The Dzeko deal has just been confirmed which is great news for City fans, I know he's not proven in the Prem but he cretainly has the attributes to do well and well worth the gamble imo, as I've allready mentioned City need a tall out and out striker thats good with either foot and more importantly in the air, Dzeko is like a young RSC and hopefully barring Injury this transfer will work out, I'm not normally excited by City transfers but Dzeko has what it takes to take us to the next level and I think its a cracking move by Mancini. All we need now is another playmaker in the mould of Silva and were laughing.
Agree with your slant on Miller ODM, I thought he had the makings of another Robbie Keane while he was at Wolves but never went on to better himself, now at 31 theres no chance he will make an impression in the Prem but for £700k its probably worth it as a stop gap and for his nuisance value as Strikers are few and far between these days unless you want to spend silly money. If I was Mcleash though I'd rather take a chance on somebody like Michael Owen who would probably be worth the same amount but has better pedigree, I know its more of a risk with his Injury record but he's twice the player Miller is and would love another chance at first team football. |

Re: January Transfer window
Brilliant. McLeish has obviously been so stunned by the reaction of his plans to buy a player who's all heart but zero talent that he's promised himself that he's not going to make that same mistake again.
Instead, he's taken the exact opposite approach and decided to take on a player who's blessed with talent but has absolutely fuck all commitment. A player who's been a legend in his own mind for years but who's only concern on a Saturday afternoon at quarter to five is what's won the 440 at Haydock. Anelka, Diouf, Tevez and Rooney....true it's not that difficult to find players who's selfish attitude totally eclipse any regard for any club or team mates but most of the players of that ilk have actually achieved something. This is a bloke who's been playing for eight years and hasn't won a single fucking sausage. Sort of makes you wonder what makes him think he's so special doesn't it? A player who plays when he feels like it - just what you need in a relegation battle and another monumental fuck up by McLeish. Lucky for him that there are some right fucking tripe in the bottom third of the prem. No team in the division have drawn more games than Brum so far this season and eighteen more draws should be enough to keep them from relegation this year but if the likes of Miller and Bentley are his idea of good signings then the longer term picture looks pretty poor for Birmingham. We are likely to have three teams coming up from the championship next year who are much stronger than the shit that go down and because of that, Brum are my early early tip to be relegated in 2011/2012 |

Re: January Transfer window
Hold fire on that...
BBC Sport - Football - Tottenham accept £6m Birmingham bid for Robbie Keane irmingham have had a £6m bid for Robbie Keane accepted by Tottenham, BBC Sport understands. The 30-year-old Republic of Ireland striker has been given permission to hold talks with City, although he is yet to discuss personal terms. City have agreed to pay Spurs an initial £4m with an extra £2m coming via various add-ons in the deal. Keane has found his chances limited at White Hart Lane this season, making 11 of his 13 appearances as a substitute. Blues boss Alex McLeish has prioritised bolstering his forward line in the January transfer window with his current set of attackers struggling to find the net. Only Wigan have scored fewer than Birmingham's 20 Premier League goals this term. |

Re: January Transfer window
He's a great player and would certainly be a signing of intent from Liverpools owners if they buy him, I'd have a dabble on Charlie Adam too as he's the sort of player Liverpool are crying out for and would imo thrive at a bigger club, I know he stands out more playing for a club like Blackpool but I've seen enough of him this season to see he is quality and well worth taking a chance on as he can hold his own in the Prem.
£5-£6-£7M for him would be a snip. |

Re: January Transfer window
I wouldn't mind Adam at all Slick, he's defo' better than some we've got, i see Holloway rates him worth £46M
so I doubt we'll get him. I do want Saurez though, that would be bloody great ![]() |

Re: January Transfer window
Kris Commons has gone to Celtic from Derby for half a million. He's turned down Rangers so I hope Rangers go on to win the league.

Re: January Transfer window
To be honest ODM Rangers probably offered him less than what he was already on. I don't think we need him but for 300k I guess its a no lose situation really.
Whats your thoughts on Commons? |

Re: January Transfer window
He's a very talented player Keeks. He's also a fat idle bastard.
I mentioned somewhere on here at the beginning of the season that I'd never seen him looking so slim and fit and said that obviously meant he was looking for a move and a pay rise. He'll likely be an instant hit wth the fans as his talent will shine in a league as poor as yours and he'll score some goals as well. Then youll get the mysterious injurys and piss poor performances on a cold midweek away trip to Aberdeen when he just can't be fucking arsed. The good news though is that you can look forward to some cracking performances next year about Feb/March time when he'll be trying to impress English Premiership managers with a view to another move. If he doesn't get his move you'll then have half a season with a fat a average player playing bit parts as a sub before miraculously losing weight the following January in order to get himself a move again |

Re: January Transfer window
That's not me being bitter by the way. I'm glad to see the back of him. He did exactly the same at Forest before managing to get himself a move to a bigger club.
he left Forest to go to their bitterest rivals. He considered Rangers before joining Celtic. That tells you everything you need to know about the mans morals. I wish the fat cunt well. |

Re: January Transfer window
I wouldn't be surprised if City got involved. Tevez moving in the summer is possible and not only do they have the buying power, but they also have players who will interest Liverpool, who are desperate to improve the squad. The problem with City's fringe players is their salary demands when moving clubs.
Heard a comment today about City being spoilers in the transfer market and buying him simply to oppose City, but I don't but that. From the players point of view, it's possible the lure of Champions league this season could be a big factor. beamer |
