Nah Hughes never had a better record and the city board could see he was tactically naive, another feather in Mancini's cap and an important one at that is the fact that the new owners appointed him whereas Hughes was brought in by the previous regime. Mourinho in the summer maybe if City don't qualify for the Champs League, thats more of a possiblity.

Everton would be an option i suppose but Moyes won't be going anywhere in the near future unless Fergie decides to call it a day soon which I can't see.

I agree Slick. Morinho to City would be good news for me as I've backed Moyes to be next United manager. Morinho is currently favourite but a move to City and the inevitable winding up of United and Fergie would blow those chances out of the water and give the miserable Scottish geyser a good chance of replacing.....erm.....the other miserable Scottish geyser.
