Re: Chris Hughton sacked !
I agree Swoops. A city that size and all they can manage is one shit football club. I know Birmingham is bigger but at least it manages to sustain two shit football clubs.

Theres a few add-ons within spitting distance as well, so you cant knock our productivity
![]() Cant even argue way we're playing, though theres nobody within our boundaries as bad as Notts County....though Walsall are approaching it ![]() |

Re: Chris Hughton sacked !
Confirmed on a five and a half year deal
..does make you wonder how fucking stupid some owners are, the chances of him being in charge in five and a half years are 0%. Fact. Why give someone that long a deal!? Just means more compensation when he leaves..or am I missing something here? |

Re: Chris Hughton sacked !
Its crackers ain't it, I can't see see what Pardew can offer the club that Hughton couldn't, Martin Jol yes as he know's the European market well which could help Newcastle nab some decent players at decent money or even O'neill who is a great man manager and has a good eye for young British talent but Pardew? I just can't see what he will bring to the club, Its a backward step IMO.

Re: Chris Hughton sacked !
He will fuck it up no question.
The only issue is where is the value? Premier League Relegation Index Last = 60pts, Second Bottom = 40pts, Third Bottom = 30pts, Fourth Bottom = 20pts, Fifth Bottom = 10pts, Sixth Bottom = 5pts. All others = 0. Buy Newcastle @ 12........... Or Totesports 5/1 to go down? |

Re: Chris Hughton sacked !
I backed Newcastle to be relegated just before their dreadful display at WBA (and before Hughton was sacked), got 8.4, now 4.0 - have layed off half my stake at 4.2 so am sitting with a 11/1 bet for a 3/1 chance. They have a tough run of games coming up (Liverpool, Spurs, Man City 3 of next 4 games) so could be shorter come the start of 2011.
I traded nicely on the managers market too, layed Jol at 1.77 which made it easy to green up once he'd drifted. Won £32 on Pardew although everyone else won £100+ but nice to have a no-lose book. That market was crazy - I was backing the likes of Wilkins and Klinnsman at 50.0 and then laying them 2 minutes later at 18.0 ![]() |
