I understand why Celtic are getting criticised. They are trying to do what old Fergie has been doing in England for twenty years and that is, to slate the ref's who don't give decisions United's way and praise the ones who do. The FA is weak and would never dare appoint one of the guys on Fergie's bad boy list for an important United game and therefore, Fergie gets the refs he wants. I can understand Celtic wanting to play the same game.
What I don't understand is the flak they're getting for pointing out that Dougie McDonald is a liar. That's not an opinion, it's an absolute fact. He's a proven liar and, as such, how can he hope to hold any respect in the eyes of players and managers.
If you ask me, a strike just isn't going to happen anyway. They've got their publicity by throwing the toys out of the pram but this is the key quote from the first post...
Quote:
A source at the SPL told BBC Scotland: "This is a matter for the SFA and the referees. The SFA have a contract to provide us with officials and we expect them to honour that."

Does anyone not see the significance of that? So the strikes go ahead, the SPL sue the SFA and millions of pounds are taken out of Scottish Football at all levels. The SFA have been made to suffer by their employees. How favourably are they likely to view that? Every pressure will be put on them to get out onto the field and get on with it. They will say they've made their point and highlighted the problem but, inreality, it's all just huffing and puffing and fuck all is going to happen.
