O'Neil Resigns

Shit. I saw the 15.0 odds on Friday and saw some serious value considering his lack of signing and poor relationship with Learner.

He could have given me a heads up.

Martin O'Neill resigns

Not a great surprise but I'm sad to see him go

Re: Martin O'Neill resigns

Wow! I'm suprised to hear that, I bet it has something to do with Milner going and he's not being given the money to buy new players, I'm away to read about it

Re: O'Neil Resigns

Initial pick... Sven at 9.0 and possibly Bilic at 7.0

Re: Martin O'Neill resigns

Too right it does. I got there first too. Oh well.

I might delete my thread.

Sven 9.0 and what about Steve Bruce 26.0

Re: Martin O'Neill resigns

I would say Steve Bruce is unlikely as an ex Birmingham manager

Alan Curbishley is the only name that springs to mind at the moment

Sorry Gav - I was typing at the same time as you

Re: Martin O'Neill resigns

Sven at 15.0 at stanjames. Jol could quit Ajax but Sven is jobless.

Curbishly is a one club wonder and not attractive in my eyes.

Bob Bailey moving on the market. Used to manage an MLS team Learner was connected with.

No European connections and no knowledge of the premiership or English football. I've seen Americans do stranger things though.

Re: O'Neil Resigns

good for him - Milner and Barry transfers will no doubt be behind it and he's not happy so rather than stay - walk

Re: O'Neil Resigns

Gutted
Dont think theres anyone available tous as good, & with Hughes now off the table I think its a disaster

Wouldnt mind Bilic at a push, but the idea of a Yank in charge worries me. Personally Sven wouldnt bother me either but the neg from the press would be too much

Re: O'Neil Resigns

Well Bradley and Sven leading the market. Glad I jumped on Sven at 15.0 - only logical choice for me even though I think he's a money grabbing knob.

Re: O'Neil Resigns

I like oneil and if I was a casual villa fan I'd be gutted. However, he's turned the into one of the most boring teams in the prem and as a football watcher I'll be looking forward to someone getting them to play some decent football.

My money is on Martin Jol but from an entertainment point of view, you can never have too many clueless yanks in the prem for my liking. The owners of Man United and Liverpool have been funny enough but having a new one in who knows fuck all about English football has got to lead to fun and games so part of me hopes that Randy goes for the yank dude.

It's only a matter of time before Bilic comes to the prem but I don't think this is his time.
