To wish for something with expectation of its fulfillment.
Thought I would start a general thread for anyone and everyone to put their hopes and aspirations for the forthcoming season. Whether you support a massive club like YooNited or a pub team like Celtic or Oxford, this is the place for thee.
I reckon we're gonna do ok this season. We can challenge for the Premiership if we beat Chelsea and United at home this year. No major changes needed, stay consistant and stay out of the lime light. Let United and Chelsea bitch away and let Mourinho overcook his team.
Man for man we dont compare with them. I think our best bet is to be the better team and let Maureen wreck the team spirit at Stamford Bridge. This is our year to over take Man United and establish ourselves at the very least as a steady second team.
Chelsea will implode soon enough and we should be the ones to benefit.
Another hope for the season is that we dont sign any Juve players in this summer's free for all. They're all tosh and I dont want any cheating scumbags at my club.
Oh and another thing, I really hope the "El Tel" connection works for England. England during Euro 96 played some fantastic football, getting results and entertaining people. I think we now have the combination of excellent players, a decent tactician in McLaren and the best motivator in the game in Terry Venables.
This is IT... England are back!
