Warren takes Calzaghe to Court

BBC SPORT | Boxing | Calzaghe faces Warren court claim

Warren is a wanker isn't he? Like most promoters he has sat back making a fortune out of the bravery and genius that is Calzaghe (not that I like his slappy sytle actually but that's another issue) and now Calazaghe wants to go it alone for his final pay day Warren is going to point at some small print in a contract signed years ago no doubt?

He'll be giving it the 'I got him a title shot - I made his career etc' tripe but let's face it - Calzaghe could have been represented by his Grandmother and he would have still made millions.

No wonder someone tried to shoot Warren a few years back. Tosser.

Re: Warren takes Calzaghe to Court

Can't say I've ever liked the fella either Get1n , him along with most promoters I suppose like King and Maloney as they all seem to be cut from the same cloth and have tied up boxing between them making it nearly impossible for anybody outside 'the circle' to be able to get a title fight.
Calzaghe could well have been represented by his grandmother but he would never have got a title shot.

Football nearly went the same way when the likes of that Jewish fella with the big cigars (can't think of his name offhand) got their claws into top players and started holding clubs to ransom, some how Football managed to knock most of it on the head b4 it got completely out of hand allthough they are still a bind and the sooner boxing does the same thing the better as how many boxing organisations can the sport sustain as they break away.
