Lovenkrands leaves Rangers on a free and has joined Schalke 04.

When he was good he was GOOD but when he was bad he was really really BAD.

Liked him as a player when he was in full flight but that wasn't always - hardly to be honest but did seem to do the biz when he thought bigger clubs where watching.

He's never really risen above average as a footballer in my opinion although he's got plenty of pace and can finish well enough. Useful attributes obviously but I'm not convinced he's got enough in his locker to have much impact in a top league.

All about consistency with him isn't it.

Maybe the SPL didn't make him hit the regular heights he should've as a footballer and thats why he needs a move away.

Does seem to be a big occasion player as was shown in the Old Firm games and the CL games last season where he got 4 goals which were all very crucial goals in Rangers progression.

Will he be misseD? Not really as you'd get maybe 1 good game in 7 or so but Rangers must be annoyed he has gone for free as they have had plenty of opportunities to offload him for a reasonable fee.
