Chelsea bid 50m Euros for Fernando Torres

http://www.marca.com/edicion/marca/futbol/internacional/es/desarrollo/1122517.html

Oh my I havent laughed so hard in a long time.

50m Euro for Torres? Dont make me laugh boys.

If you'll pay circa 22m for a right back (Bosingwa) then I'm afraid Fernando is worth slightly more than 50!

Its all academic anyway because (a) the story's bollocks & (b) Torres is going no where - but please if you want to make up stories about transfers, at least get the prices accurate.

There's no way in hell we'd sell Fernando Torres for 50m Euro. He has to be worth at least 50% more, given the amazing season he's had. Probably the most desirable striker in world football at the moment, no?

No idea how accurate this story from the Times is, but Marca seem to be basing their story on this, thinking along the lines that Liverpool might actually have little choice but to sell him

you were telling us a while back that liverpool might not even own him afu, so they might not have a say in the matter, what a blow that would be for liverpool, how do you replace him.

The more I think about it, the more logical it becomes.

As for replacing him, you simply dont replace him. The best striker in the world at the moment.
