BBC SPORT | Football | England lands extra Uefa Cup slot

England will have an additional club in next season's Uefa Cup after topping Europe's fair play rankings.

The place will be awarded to the best-behaved Premier League team that does not qualify for European competition next term.

Manchester City are the side who would qualify in the current Premier League fair play standings.

Thats a year ahead of schedule so big Phil needs to qualify for the champs league or he's history

City were a joke today, I mean losing 8-1 in this game is shocking enough but to get a Red and Yellow card in it as well defies belief!

Do we know if they made it in or not? I think Everton may have pipped them in the fair play today as we got no bookings but it doesnt matter since we came 5th anyway. But what about Fulham? They werent too far behind and didnt pick up any cards today.

I think we still qualify , unless we get punished for trying to invade the pitch at the end oh and fighting amongst ourselves in the crowd

You really have to laugh , the rags win the league and we get humilated at the worst side in the kingdom.

Yeah we caught ya but Fulham didnt. Must have been close as I heard Fulham spokespeople actually saying they might have got it. Id like to know how close but the official premier league site still only has an updated fair play table after 36 games

Such a weird way of getting European football isnt it, 6th in a fair play table
