Welcome To Spurs

We have made a signing of an attacking midfielder by the name of Luka Modric a croation international for around 16m,said to be touted by other english clubs including Liverpool and Chelsea, the fee wont be a problem as the club are fianancially stable, these sought of signings need to be made to attract talent like this to the club although Juande Ramos must be a plus when trying to louwer (spelt wrongly I think) but obviously not being in the champions league will always be a big negative in trying to attract players and keeping players like Berbatov.Watching him on you tube he is extremley talented in front of goal and has the tricks and flicks and hes goal celebration is the overhead flip.Spurs do lack a goalscorer in midfield like the big 4 have, could this be the new Ardiles,I hope so

Aye he looks a good one Basher , i hope he does the bizz for you.
I'll be interested to see what does happen with Berbatov over the summer as even keeping the best players you have can show what sort of aspirations the club has, unless silly money is involved like the cash we were paid for Wright Philips.

Re: Welcome To Spurs

Great bit of business this Basher. This kids going to light the Premiership up and as you say is exactly what Spurs need in an attacking midfielder who will score a fair few aswell as set up many.

Next task is keeping Berbatov and then work on the back 4 and a keeper and Spurs are going to be a very dangerous side next season.

Re: Welcome To Spurs

Thanks for the excellant replies guys,Ive always thought the midfield is were Spurs fail to donimate hence the inconsistantcy, the top four have very strong midfields, midfields that can donimate games ease the pressure on their defences and link up with their attacks thats why they are tough to beat for the rest of us below them.Carrick was a big wrench when he left and I was gutted as he was the backbone of the midfield,if Berbatov leaves that again willbe as bigger wrench and will probably put us back again as much as it did when Carrick left no matter how much money their transfer fees bring in they sometimes are very hard to replace hence we have never replaced Carrick.

Heard on the radio in the car today that Hleb will be leaving Arsenal? he has been a fantastic player for them, wonder if there is any truth in that rumour.

I haven't followed them much since the turn of the year, does this mean Hutton has had a disaster?

Re: Welcome To Spurs

damn, Luka went to Spurs, so sad for me as I am Man Utd fan. You got yourself a very good player, lucky bastards, when he gets used to life in England, and style of Permiership football, hmmmm, damn again
keep Berbatov, and few more good singings, and Spurs might have season of their dreams

Sounds good to me Mrs Sith as it's been a long time coming. We play second fiddle for far too long and i would love to see spurs doing something. That would be amazing in fact. Terry Venables blue and white army! Terry Venables blue and white army!

Re: Welcome To Spurs

Hi Win
Theres plenty to like about Hutton since hes arrival, after all wasnt his efforts that helped us beat Chelsea in the cup final in what was his 3rd game I think, he didnt even have time to adjust when he debuted against Man Utd to earn us draw.Have'nt we had some great scottish players in the past in England I dont need to name them,I use to idolise Steve Archibald he was a scottish international striker at Spurs for people who dont know.
