Chelsea "reward" their travelling support

I see today that Chelsea have bought their full allocation for their Premiership away match at Everton later in the month and are giving the tickets away free, along with free travel too.

On the one hand, its a great reward to loyal fans and its nice to see the club giving something back. On the other hand, you have to question whether the "gesture" was made because the club didnt want to be embarassed by having to hand back half of the allocation to Everton as they were never going to sell out. Poxy club, poxy fans. Cunts.

Always looking to bash your rivals AFU. Regardless if their allocation was going to sell out or not its a fabolours gesture IMO, especially at the tail end of the season where the die hards have probably been splashing the cash all season and are now maybe starting to struggle to regularly travel to cheer on their team.

Have you seen the result Muze? Can we still get a bet on it anywhere

Rangers did the same for the Sporting Lisbon away game coming up next week, bought all tickets and gave them to fans going for nothing. No free transport though, well the game is in Portugal. Hell if they had been giving free transport away I might have been even tempted to go.........

Buying tickets for the fans for an away leg at a Sporting Lisbon game is hardly the heights of genoristy when you can get tickets for around €12 for the cheap seats for a League match. Probably a bit more for the visit of mighty Rangers mind

There is more than meets the eye here. I can't remember the exact calculations but what they did was a decent gesture but then the cnuts were charging £8 more per ticket for the Lisbon game than they were for the Bremen game.

So if you calculate it all that extra 8 quid ends up paying the away tickets and giving them a huge healthy profit too.

CNUTS!!

You might say its a fabulous gesture, I say its a club desperate to win favour with their "hardcore support" (yes all six of them) because the majority of the fans are still pissed off about Mourinho.

You know for the match against Fenerbahce, 200 Chelsea fans made the trip. TWO FUCKING HUNDRED - that's shocking. Chelsea never had a big support anyway and this season they have pissed off their most loyal fans with the appointment of Grang.

How many times has Grant's name been sung on the terraces? Not once yet...

Its a way of buying favour with the fans and also appearing to the fans abroad (watching on telly) that they have a bigger fanbase than they do. Fans abroad tend to go with the masses, who would bother with a team with no fans in their own country?

Cynical, cynical move.

They might be pissed about Mourinho but fuck me, they need to move on.

What more do they want? They are sitting 2nd in the league in a very good position right now and the quarters of the CL.

Wouldn't surprise me if they win the double you know. Good luck to them too. They have suffered the worst of the big 3 in terms of long term injuries to their big players.

I agree with you mate, I think Grant has had a difficult job and has done a decent job. I think his only real failure is that he doesnt look the part. He doesnt look like a football manager does he? Jose was chiselled, well dressed, good looking, witty and looked the part.

Whereas Avram Grant has a head like a root vegetable and looks more like a Gravedigger than a Football Manager. I agree its a shame because he has done nothing wrong so far - the fans have just taken a dislike to him and that's that.
