I know most of you hate Liverpool and the rest probably get bored with my incessant ramblings but I will persist.
This Tuesday is the biggest game of the season so far, its a must win game. You would be forgiven for suggesting its our biggest game for years in fact. Lose and we could be managerless and our season and club would be in disarray. Win and we're on our way to another crazy European adventure.
Lets just hope there's a wall of noise for when the Inter players walk out on that pitch. I want the noise to peel the skin off those cunts as they step out of the tunnel to warm up. I want them to drop a bollock, make mistakes & have their confidence sapped by the incessant noise and chants from the crowd. We have got to stuff them so badly, that the game in 3 weeks time is nothing more than a formality for us.
More of this please everyone, there's no reason why we should go through - we are massive, massive underdogs. So we need to do everything we can to gain our team the edge.
Anyway Setanta report he's done his crucuiate ligament and will need an operation. Injuries like this can be up to a year out cant they, same injury as Gazza all those years ago isnt it?
Anyway, unless he makes a recovery of John Terry-like proportions, it looks like Inter will be without Cordoba and Materazzoff for the second leg.
Yeah cruciates are the bastards, usually takes about a year to get back to full fitness. 6 months minimum and it can take longer than a year. The problem is rushing it back can cause a total relapse and then you have to start over. I remember in about 97 Roy Keane (Alfe Haaland incident) and Lee Sharpe both had them at the same time. Sharp was round Keanes house for a beer or what not and his recouperation seemed to be going quicker than Keanes. When Sharpe got up off the sofa to go home, pop, he nearly collapsed and thats what rushing it back can do. Sharpe was never the same player after his.
Ones I can think of recently are Owens for Newcastle which took nearly a year and Michael Balls which took a whole 18 months. And thats for top footballers who get all the treatment, you get a cruciate ligament damage as a normal person playing sport and itll take years before you can play sport again with nhs treatment/waiting lists etc.
I did mine in 2001 , luckily for me i managed to get done private . everyone has to go through the same physio programme at first , the day after the op your bending your knee up to 60 degrees , quite scary at first your expecting the knee to go pop

My mate did his last summer, must have been June / July and he's got physio at the moment, seen a specialist and stuff and has been told around a year for an operation on the NHS. In the meantime he cant do any sports, has probably put on a stone or two as a result and hobbles about like an old man.
Brilliant news here, looks like Inter are descending into civil war over Tuesday's result.
Materazzoff and Ibrahimovich are fighting and fans tried to verbally then physically assault Mancini over his decisions in the game.
Kerrrrrazy!
The Nerazzurri suffered their first defeat in five months on Tuesday night, and they now face an uphill task to qualify for the quarter-finals of the Champions League.
The Inter supporters have been hugely critical of Mancini for his tactics during the game, and it has already been reported that he was almost involved in a physical confrontation with a group who verbally attacked him at Liverpool Airport.
The Corriere has now revealed that upon arriving in Milan, two thousand Inter fans were waiting for the squad and there was real tension and anger. Suddenly the crowd erupted into a chorus of “Go to work.”
However a number of individuals sought out Mancini individually. One furious supporter, using foul language, shouted at the boss,
“When were you preparing to bring on Suazo.?”
Mancini stopped in his tracks, confronted the fan and said, “What did you say?”
The fan repeated what he said, only this time not swearing. Mancini then said, “No, repeat the whole sentence you just said.”
Eventually the ex-Lazio boss continued walking, where there were a few more angry fans waiting for him. Mancini then turned to them and said, “Think before you say anything.”
There is a real air of tension around Inter at the moment, and there are also strong reports that there has been a serious falling-out between team-mates Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Marco Materazzi.

your mate needs too keep the strength up in his legs , the more he does now will make the recoup easier after his op .
agree about the inter game , the 5timers will get a couple of away goals .
I think at the very worst we're good for 1 goal and on that basis, I cant see them scoring 4.
This is where we come into our own, an away tie against a European giant like inter is an 'easier' game than a home match against Wigan or Reading IMO. They will try to attack us, we will sit back, soak up the pressure and counter through Babel/Torres and hit a killer blow.
Second leg coming up next week - was fucking nervous leading up to the first leg but since then we have been playing some good football and have dished out out a few beatings.
