Wales rugby great and BBC presenter Ray Gravell has died at the age of 56.
Gravell won 23 caps for his country and made the 1980 Lions tour to South Africa, playing in all four Tests.
After finishing playing rugby, Gravell carved out a new career as a broadcaster and an actor in both the English and Welsh languages.

Ray came to speak at our rugby club end of season presentation about 12 years ago, I sat next to him , he was a very patriotic Welshman, was very entertaining on the evening , liked his beer and we had trouble keeping him away from the wives and girlfriends of the players. He remembered names of some of the players he had interviewed for a t.v. program 5 years earlier.
He was what I would call "a genuine character"
