I think you'll pull through Crowie - they're decent enough but with Celtics home record I think they'll do it.

Glad Rangers avoided Fenerbache mind you.

Its the away leg I am worried about though Bob, and considering we lost 3 goals a game away from home last season in the group stages we might have too much to do come the 2nd leg.

Better hope Rangers are more into their game by the time Red Star roll round. Wouldn't be confident on what I saw of your lot on Tuesday.

I'm pretty worried about the game in Moscow, I wonder how playing on an artificial pitch will suit us?

Re: Champions League 3rd qualification round

Yeah im not too confident at all for Celtic now.

With the club finally looking like making moves forward this could be a setback going out early here.

Im not too fussed about artificial pitches to be honest. Played on a few myself, most recently Montroses new one, and i actually prefer them to be honest.

I agree with Crowie...Shipped 3 goals in every away CL game last season bar Milan. Now the defence hasnt been improved at all when it should have been and this is a major concern for me.

One positive now though is down the years Celtic have always been slow lacking much pace which i think played a big factor in away games. Now with some injection of pace i think they have a side capable of playing decent counter attacking football away from home.

Russian football is a fast developing league now too isn't it. Aye not too confident here.

Think Liverpool and Arsenal should have no problems but Rangers could be a tricky game if they get Crvena!
