I really think he would do a job for us as he knows a lot of players around Europe and if he achieved what he did at Liverpool with City the that would be regarded as success in our eyes as were sick of knocking on the relegatgion door or slipping through it.

I'd give him another crack in the Prem so long as he has a bit of cash to spend which no doubt the new manager will have hence the exit of Pearce and his purse strings being tied all season.

Big Sam will take us back to the dark ages, we'll end up with loads of has beens on yrly contracts and playing mind numbingly mundane football to suit.
City need to go forward now with a manager who is worldly wise and bring in some decent footballers for the future, Houllier knows the French leagues insideout and they do possess some talent as Wegner knows well.

I was gonna mention Renieri but he may be a bit to quiet for the job and need excess funds we cannot afford, that all depends on the takeover of course and i now see Renieri is favourite to get the job so a takeover will probbaly be iminent.

Can't say I'm sorry to see him go. Great bloke and everything, but he was an awful manager. The style (or lack of it) of football these past two seasons is the worst I can remember any City team playing. I don't think our fans expect to challenge for the title or anything, but we expect a bit of entertainment.

The manager has to take the blame for the crap signings of Corradi, Samaras, Dabo etc. Did he actually watch any of thses guys before bringing them to play for City?
