Re: X Factor

I haven't bet on it, I just think it would be shit if Ray wins, cos he's clearly nowhere near as good as Leona. We've already had some comedy winners in Steve and Michelle, no need for another.

Re: X Factor

The correct act won but from a watching point of view this series was terrible - Ben started ok but after a few weeks it was a bit of a one horse race. Last year had 3 or 4 decent acts and a top quality final show - this year final night was a case of men against boys. Even in the case of the novelty/'shit that you can't get off your shoe' acts I think Chico pisses all over the McDonalds simply by realising thats that what he was/is, rather than trying to be good.

Leonna is a bit drab tho and a very good voice will only take her so far - she'll need to develop some sort of personality/confidence to sustain herself after a few months.

Good show from a betting perspective tho - American Idol 6 will be along in about a month with more of the same.

Re: X Factor

Paddy's have a market on what will happen for the fourth series...

Cat Deeley 8/11 with William Hill!?

http://www.thesun.co.uk/article/1,,2007110351,00.html

First thoughts: Cat Deeley's doing the UK segments for the sixth series of American Idol right now but she is almost universally being panned by critics and audiences alike for being fecking awful. She also took over from Matthew Kelly as host for Stars in Their Eyes and that got promptly axed.

There was talk about Dermot O'Leary (mainly from those shit-stirrers over at The Sun) late last year as a possible replacement for Kate Thornton.

In my mind's eye, this presenting gig weirdly feels that it could go to Holly Willoughby but I feel she's a bit 'lightweight' and far too similar to Kate Thornton.

...those in the know will almost definitely beat us plebs to the punch though, whatever happens.

Re: X Factor

Well it looks like the shit-stirrers have been proved correct because along with the 'Randy Jackson to replace Louis Walsh' rumour it's Dermot O'Leary who's replacing Kate Thornton.

http://blogs.guardian.co.uk/organgri..._the_x_fa.html

I'm very, very pissed off I didn't get at the 18/1 (he was pushed out to 20/1 at one point before Paddy's got rid of the odds).

Randy's fecking useless and is sit-on-the-fence as they come. Louis had many faults but he didn't pull any punches.
