A few stories have been surfacing recently about Gary Barlow being the next judge on X-factor. There is a market open at Stan James, and even though the Take That singer is their favourite, he's still available at 3.0.

I'd like to know who the others are Gav. They seem to try to avoid having anyone with any actual talent on the panel and, like him or not, Fat Gaz has written some successful tunes. I think I'd be looking for some talentless airhead if I was placing a bet

If you're thinking airhead, then surely Piers Morgan? However, he's busy single-handedly dismantling CNN.

As Cowell is going, I doubt he'd replace himself with another women. I can see Nicole Scherzinger getting the job, but only if Cheryl Cole gets the boot

I like Gary,but it was simply too great an upheaval to remove three of the four judges whose chemistry had worked well, the combination of the Louis Walsh banter with Simon, Cheryl's glamour and homely quality,Danni Minogue's toughness and sensitivity..all these amalgamations have been lost..viewers have recognized that the format has become stale,the comments cliched,and are switching off in their millions..
