I should hopefully be collecting some winnings tomorrow then
So if Ed wins, and judging by the market change it looks fairly convincing, will David actually want to stay in politics? From what I've seen so far, I just can't see it. Does he want the leadership that much? And is he willing to wait until after the next election to go for it again? Will it dawn upon him that there is obviously something about him that makes him unelectable to the top position?
People like Balls will be around forever. He's still got jobs that'll seem like a promotion, like chancellor and foreign sec (dread the thought).
Miliband, who has already been foreign sec, could make much more money for himself outside of politics and I'm sure he'll be inundated with offers. There is only the shadow chancellor position that would seem like a promotion.

DAVID CROW
ED Miliband will offer his brother the job of shadow chancellor if he emerges victorious in tomorrow’s leadership election, according to campaign insiders.
David Miliband was seen as a shoo-in for the leader’s job before younger sibling Ed threw his hat into the ring, and friends say he could quit politics if he misses out on the crown.
But Ed Miliband hopes he can keep David in politics by making him shadow chancellor. Labour MPs are worried that a shock resignation could overshadow the party conference at a time when they should be fighting back against the coalition.
If David Miliband were to become shadow chancellor it would be a major blow for Ed Balls, who also has designs on the job.
