Re: Election Constituency Betting
Gah, Lib Dem vote collapsed nationwide - their best campaign in years and they lose seats and share of the vote.
A cheap cover on Labour seems so obvious now....sorry chaps, still cant believe it lost! ![]() I'll learn my lesson with this - Labour's vote in Scotland seems almost bulletproof(even Wales showed some sort of swing away). Fwiw they coasted Stirling and D+G. |

Re: Election Constituency Betting
I think over 50% of Scotland's working are employed in some way by the govt. & Cameron has his eyes on cutting funds to Scotland so this was clearly a vote to keep jobs etc....
I don't think it matters who gets in as there will be massive cuts anyway. Perhaps all LD did was highlight the polarity of voting Labour or Tory.... |

Re: Election Constituency Betting
True betfly, for a number of reasons the Scottish lab vote is more stubborn than elsewhere.
Summed up by the girl I work beside...she'd been telling me all week about how she was looking forward to voting lib dem, including yesterday. Asked this morning who she voted for: 'Labour...well, I always do.' Last edited by Beanie : 07-05-2010 at 10:49. |
