Re: Miss World 2009: 12 Dec
Today's Bettingzone Market News:
1230: Katharine Brown, the reigning Miss Scotland, leads the way amongst the British beauties in this weekend’s Miss World showdown, reports bookie Paddy Power. Miss Scotland is 20/1 to take the crown in South Africa and has proven so popular amongst the outsiders after a strong performance in the Miss World beach beauty category, that a win for the Dunblane beauty would be the worst result in the book for Paddy Power. Miss Northern Ireland is 40/1, Miss Wales 50/1 whilst Miss England is a rank outsider at 80/1. However Miss Puerto Rico looks to be the lady they must all beat with Jennifer Colon backed into a red hot even-money favourite. Other ladies to have caught the eye of punters include Miss Sierra Leone who has been backed into 16/1 from 66/1. Darren Haines, spokesman for Paddy Power, said: “It’s the betting all our traders are queuing up to set the odds for and causes more arguments as to who should be favourite than any other market we offer. "However after much deliberation it looks like Miss Puerto Rico is the one to beat this year – but we’re very wary of Miss Scotland in this ever popular market." ============= Haven't a clue but some have already qualified for the semi-finals due to various small contests in the run-up to the ceremony on the night. |
