On Christmas Day though for whatever reason EastEnders usually wins but to include episodes up until January 2nd gives Coronation Street a slight edge as it's usually the winner for the rest of the year.

Might be worth having a look at the next two weeks of the top ten TV progammes according to BARB.

EastEnders the most watched TV show yesterday and it was The Royle Family that won the other market. Doctor Who was bet on like it couldn't lose...glad I avoided it this year as I'd have done me b'lox in!

EastEnders was the most watched TV programme yesterday and I don't think Coronation Street came anywhere near close between Christmas and New Year.
