Keeley Hazell won't take part as she's stated she won't and she's currently luvved up with that ever lucky bastard David Walliams (he'll only break her heart eventually if his 'love life on public record' is anything to go by).

I don't think Fern Britton could do a pirouette even if there was a biscuit on offer after she did it!

I'd love to see Tana Ramsay fall on her face. Heather Mills has done dancing over in the US but ice-dancing in the UK? Seems improbable even though the bloke will do most of the work. She'd be on a hiding to nothing!

I'd superficially expect Sharron Davies and Tina Barrett to do well even if I don't know if they can skate or not. I have no idea about Gary Lucy.

Judging from that potential shortlist they're struggling for decent male celebrities to take part.

1400: It looks like Heather Mills will take part in Dancing On Ice but the odds suggest that it could be a short stint with William Hill offering just 3/1 that she will be the first Celebrity to be voted off.

Hills have a match bet for who will go further in the competition - Gordon Ramsay's wife Tana or Heather Mills and the odds make Tana hot favourite to come out on top.

"Heather did well in the American version of Strictly, Dancing With The Stars, but she would be unlikely to win a popularity contest in the UK and we don't expect her to last long," said Hill's spokesman Rupert Adams.

Strikes me that there are quite a few disliked celebs in this year - Mills, Sinitta, Daniella etc.

But if previous years tell us anything, its look out for the inside word on who is the best skater and have a big slice.

I suppose but even the ringer occasionally gets nobbled (ahem, Chris Fountain being beaten by Suzanne Shaw). Very wary about the 'entertainer' beating out the more accomplished performer...we're 'due' one over here on DOI after SCD aren't we!?

If his performance in The Games is anything to go by then Bobby Davro is this year's Todd Carty (I'd link to the diving clip on Youtube but that one has 'homemade' commentary and lessens it's funniness. Surprised nobody else has the clip! ).

I might be in a minority of one, but I don't think that Heather Mills is the no-chance that everyone thinks she will be.

Of course she is a vilified woman, but at the same time 'vilified celebrities' sometimes can use reality programmes to get some kind of 'rebirth' as a way of being 'loved' again. Ok she has a long way to go (hated by every Beatles fan for a start), but she has a few things in her arsenal. One is a disability - if she can demonstrate what she can do with only one leg she is sure to get some kind of sympathy and this will only grow as she improves. Secondly she is a good dancer (as seen on Dancing with the Stars - the US show). If she can transfer that to the ice rink then she should be able to hold herself. Of course it is critical that she presents herself across right - A serious PR overhaul is required, but if she can suss this out she can go far. I aint saying she is going to win, but she could go a lot further than most people (who have plain disgarded her), think..

Last time around, the first week was the male celebrities (Graeme Le Saux was the first elimination) and then the second week it was the female celebrities (Gemma Bissix was the second elimination). I'm assuming it's the same for this year.

Men's First Elimination: I'd say it's a straight fight between Davro and Jones as to who's eliminated first.
Women's First Elimination: I'd say Sinitta and Westbrook are the most likely to go but I think Atack and Davies are very vulnerable.

1330: Coral have further cut the price on former Emmerdale actress Hayley Tamaddon to win the latest series of Dancing on Ice to 3/1, having been 8/1 at the beginning of the week.

"The majority of the money we have seen so far has been for Hayley, she must have been making the most of the wintery conditions in the Yorkshire Dales," said Coral spokesman Gary Burton.

Heather Mills is the rank outsider at 33-1, and so far hasn't attracted a single bet.

I could look a right twat after this Sunday, but you never know.. Got matched on Mucca at 50's on Betfair, and based on my comments above, I am hoping that this could be a trading opportunity..

I know she has had problems in training, but you never know..Judges sympathy and all that. Can't see the programme wanting her to be ridiculed in front of a public baying for blood..

Half decent performance, positive comments from the judges, survival (obviously) and her price could fall quite a bit to lay off..
