The Apprentice

Why are there no odds for this? Has it already been filmed and then they edit and televise the whole series after the whole things complete?

Re: The Apprentice

Yeah it's all been filmed except the final which is supposedly live.

Paddy's got a stung a couple of years ago when they offered good odds on Michelle Dewberry to win and quickly yanked 'em when they realised their mistake.

Re: The Apprentice

Shame that for a couple of reasons.

1.Its a good show imo
2.Sweet eviction format means weekly betting opportunities

Re: The Apprentice

Prices 24th April 2008:

9/2 Claire
5/1 Alex
6/1 Sara
7/1 Lee
8/1 Raef
9/1 Helene
10/1 Jennifer
12/1 Michael
18/1 Lucinda
20/1 Jenny
50/1 Kevin

Beanie The Bookie says: "At the top of the market Claire nudges back into favouritism after a strong week, winning her 2nd task as team leader. Her only negative remains that she's pug ugly and Alan's shown a weakness for a waif of a woman in previous serious and may find Claire's presumably dominating bedroom manner a little much for a man of his years.

"Alex remains a solid 2nd favourite - altho his game playing looks likely to find him out in the latter stages. Sara and Lee are cut into 6/1 and 7/1 respectively, the former gliding under the radar again with more than a few bats of the eyelashes at Nick who looked more than pleased, while Lee had a corker of a week, many an expletive ridden one liner in there. 'We're facking kicking their baaaastard arses innit you facking facks? Dick.' was Beanie the Bookies personal highlight.

"Of the outsiders, Lucinda enjoyed some support, and was cut after a strong show and a sizeable punt from one of our regulars. Winrew, 78, placed the punt, noting on his slip: 'Cos she looks a right go-er.'

"Kevin remains the rank outsider at 50/1 on account of being a slackjawed gobshite."

Re: The Apprentice

Prices 1st May 2008:

9/2 Claire
5/1 Raef
6/1 Sara
6/1 Alex
8/1 Lee
9/1 Helene
10/1 Jennifer
15/1 Michael
18/1 Lucinda
40/1 Jenny

What an episode last night - a Save the Planet greeting card

With Kev gone Jenny now the big outsider after another mare...Lee and Alex eased out after a pretty unnecessary attack on Sara, Raef cut after being the only one to stand up for her.

Re: The Apprentice

Looking at this lot I fear for the future of this Country. I would not have one of them anywhere near me. Could not do the simple task of selling fish, and then last night come up with the dumb ass idea of a Save the Planet card.

Re: The Apprentice

Raef is a legend, 3 horse race between him Alex and Claire IMO. Sara @ 6/1, I'd lay that all day long. Lucinda and Michael should be 100s IMO

I'm pretty sure its meant to be a pterodactyl since one of them mentioned it was supposed to be a dinosaur of some kind.

Re: The Apprentice

Think Claire should be on the drift, clearly Alan Sugar likes something about her, but there's only so many mistakes she'll get away with.
