Cirque de Celebrite

Not a big fan of this celebrity reality show on Sky 1, but it must have done well enough to justify a second series...
Will Dwain the drugs cheat make a successful comeback? Don't think he did too well in his last reality programme venture (was it the first Hell's Kitchen??

Outright Winner
Shane Lynch 3 - 1
Lady Isabella Harvey 8 - 1
Princess Tamara 12 - 1
Ritchie Neville 4 - 1
Luke Bailey 8 - 1
Emily Scott 12 - 1
Kyal Marsh 6 - 1
Dean Holdsworth 10 - 1
Hannah Waterman 16 - 1
Dwain Chambers 6 - 1
Stacey Cadman 10 - 1
Antonia Okonma 18 - 1

Cooking's a bit different than circus tricks though!

Cirque de Celebrité - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

I dunno who's the likeliest winner ante-post.

Re: Cirque de Celebrite

Yesterday's Bettingzone Market Moves:

1630: According to Sky Bet, the boy band battle is on as former Five member, Ritchie Neville is already contending with ex-Boyzone member, Shane Lynch, as favourite to win Cirque de Celebrité.

The bookie has slashed Neville's odds of winning from 8/1 to 7/2 whilst Shane remains the favourite at 11/4.

Helen Jacob, entertainment manager at Sky Bet, said: "We have seen a lot of early money backing Ritchie but Shane’s previous successes on reality TV shows are keeping him just at the head of the betting market.

"It’s early days yet though and the battle of the boy bands could easily be surpassed by Emily Scott – another contestant who punters seem to favour."

Last year’s show featured injuries and walkouts and Sky Bet quotes 4/6 that one of this year’s celebs will follow Sophie Anderton’s footsteps and quit half way through the contest.

=========

To be fair to Sophie an injury that wouldn't go away, forced her to quit.

This year's stunts going by the promo alone is going to be a helluva lot tougher than last year's tricks.

I still have no opinion as to the likely winner.

Re: Cirque de Celebrite

I don't what the odds were but Dean Holdsworth was the first to be eliminated. Princess Tamara was the one saved.

Second elimination odds from Sky Bet:

Re: Cirque de Celebrite

Dwain doesn't seem to have much luck with these things. He goes, Isabella stays.

Seems absolute random at the moment but a female probably goes just to make it more 'level'.

Re: Cirque de Celebrite

Last week, Hannah went and Luke stayed.
This week was a double elimination which is probably why there wasn't any odds up over at Sky Bet as Emily and Tamara went ahead of Isabella.

Shane will probably be close to 'evens' this week as he firms even moreinto favouritism.

Re: Cirque de Celebrite

Well it seems like I know the odds but I should have seen Shane Lynch being a favourite much much earlier. The jolly can still very well be scuppered though.

On the elimination front with only one man but three women eliminated surely a bloke's favourite to go? I'd say Dean or Luke will go but there is absolutely little value in betting on this show.

Re: Cirque de Celebrite

Well I said a bloke would be eliminated but I didn't expect Ritchie would go! Antonia was the other one in the bottom two.

Some support for Stacey Cadman to win the whole thing. Shane's probably eased a little in the betting because he couldn't perform due to injury.

It really isn't worth betting on but I'm the completist again and I may as well stick with it.

Re: Cirque de Celebrite

Hmmm. Shane won't be winning it as he's quit due to injury!

I've no idea how Skybet have settled last week's elimination market but one suspects they wouldn't have paid out on the 25/1 on him going.

What's even more surprising is that Sky One they've pulled an Endemol and put in two new late replacements in with Liam McGouch (the tree-surgeon who finished third in the recent Big Brother 8) and Rebecca Loos. One of 'em will be eliminated tomorrow.

Skybet are offering odds with them included:

...Coral's are not:

I'm putting £25 on Stacey Cadman at 3/1 to win without Liam/Rebecca in the market at Coral's

Last year Grace was the best performer and Emma B and Kenzie got there purely because the judges wanted them to be there as much as they were voted to stay on the show.

This year I'm inclined to think that Stacey has been the best but Kyal will get his soap fans keeping him in and one of Liam/Luke will probably be in the final with 'em.

Will we get a dodgy result?

Re: Cirque de Celebrite

Hmmm. The perceived perception now though is that Kyal is actually this year's best performer and not only because of what Philip (one of the three judges) said in that he'd actually hire him. Feck it. I'll have to concede to the wisdom of crowds on that one.

I suppose I should have put a saver bet when he was at odds of 5/2...he's into 4/6 now at Skybet! Coral's go evens so I'll put £25 on Kyal to win and I'll get my stake back (from having bet on Stacey) if he does so.

I shouldn't be so gung-ho about these things and should sometimes think about having a staking plan.

Skybet's odds for the outright win and for the next elimination:

Coral's outright odds: Kyal Marsh 'evens', Stacey Cadman 5/2, Luke Bailey 5/1, Lady Isabella Hervey 7/1 and Antonia Okonma 10/1.

Coral's next elimination odds: Lady Isabella Hervey 6/4, Antonia Okonma 2/1, Luke Bailey 3/1, Stacey Cadman 7/1 and Kyal Marsh 12/1.

OT: Liam was voted onto the show ahead of Rebecca...but was then promptly thrown off it as he lost out to Isabella!

Re: Cirque de Celebrite

Isabella was voted off ahead of Luke.

Coral's go...

Outright: Kyal 2/5, Stacey 7/2, Antonia 7/1, Luke 12/1
Next elimination: Luke 'evens', Antonia 5/4, Stacey 6/1, Kyal 16/1

Skybet go...

Outright: Kyal 1/2, Stacey 11/4, Antonia 11/2, Luke 16/1
Next elimination: Antonia 4/6, Luke 6/4, Stacey 7/1, Kyal 20/1

Re: Cirque de Celebrite

Kyal won, Stacey was second and Luke finished third. Antonia was eliminated last week ahead of Luke.

Sterling work stereo Bad news that there's no Celeb X Factor and no soapstar superstar these days - need something to fill the void after SCD and X Factor finish up!
