Re: Strictly Come Dancing 2007 (BBC1)

Interestingly (coincidence?), the best women are to follow all the crap ones..

I have a horrible feeling Kate may get the sympathy vote, and thats the reason after even though she was tore apart by the judges she is still trading at 1.9 for elimination when if it was anyone else they'd be 1.4...

Sorry for that drunken rant - another embarassing post by me... The elimination market on Betfair is currently suspended, but the omens are bad . How Kate cannot be in the bottom 2 is beyond me, irrespective of injuries...

As I feared, the moronic GMTV sheep save Kate... Joke.... Anyhooo, think I'll just sit back from now on and cheer on my 3 antepost girls to victory.....

Re: Strictly Come Dancing 2007 (BBC1)

It makes a mockery of the voting system how Kate can score so low but still survive. I should know how the viewer vote works but I still don't (50-50? Surely they jest?).

I wonder what the odds on an all-female final are now? It looks good from this early stage but those voting I fear are priimarily housewives and um, gamblers.

OT: I was as close as I could be trying to land my preposterous bet when Bruno went a little overboard in praising Penny Lancaster but y'know nowhere near.

http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage...icle351050.ece

Kelly Brook (8/11) to outlast Alesha Dixon ('evens'). Don't see it on their page though.

Odds from William Hill

3rd elimination:

Willie Thorne 9/4
Kenny Logan 5/2
Letitia Dean 7/2
Kate Garraway 4/1
Dom Littlewood 10/1
John Barnes 14/1
Matt D' Angelo 20/1
Gethin Jones 20/1
Gabby Logan 33/1
Kelly Brook 40/1
Alesha Dixon 40/1
Penny Lancaster 50/1

Top female:

Penny Lancaster 9/4
Kelly Brook 5/2
Alesha Dixon 5/2
Gabby Logan 7/2
Kate Garraway 20/1
Letitia Dean 25/1

Top male:

Matt D' Angelo 2/1
Gethin Jones 2/1
John Barnes 7/2
Dom Littlewood 4/1
Kenny Logan 14/1
Willie Thorne 33/1

Outright winner:

Penny Lancaster 11/4
Kelly Brook 3/1
Alesha Dixon 3/1
Gabby Logan 9/2
Matt D' Angelo 10/1
Gethin Jones 10/1
John Barnes 14/1
Dom Littlewood 16/1
Kate Garraway 25/1
Letitia Dean 33/1
Kenny Logan 50/1
Willie Thorne 100/1

I see the 3rd elimination possibly between Kenny and Letitia with Kenny going. Kate will probably score the least marks but will probably be saved yet again by a deluded GMTV audience.

Penny being the favourite is far too premature at this stage and probably worth laying if I had enough money (like Rod Stewart did! ).

Re: Strictly Come Dancing 2007 (BBC1)

This week's barmy theory as to who might not go despite the bleeding obvious is...

"Kate may have some kind of sympathy vote due to having her car crushed because she didn't renew her road tax."

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/pages/liv...BIZ&ICL=TOPART

Jeremy Chapman (the RP's golf tipster!) is tipping her to go though.

A guy who can't dance (Kenny Logan) versus a woman who can't move particularly well (Kate Garraway)?

Odds from Ladbrokes as to who'll be the third person eliminated:

Kenny Logan 15/8
Willie Thorne 5/2
Kate Garraway 10/3
Letitia Dean 8/1
Dominic Littlewood 14/1
Gethin Jones 20/1
John Barnes 20/1
Matt D'Angelo 20/1
Gabby Logan 33/1
Alesha Dixon 66/1
Kelly Brook 66/1
Penny Lancaster 66/1

Slightly disturbed by the rumours from the Holy Moly mailout that one judge is probably trying to seduce Gethin Jones...and it isn't Arlene! I suppose I should be more disturbed that Letitia Dean probably survived last week because she's signed on for the Strictly Come Dancing tour.

The only two scenarios I can see are:

* If it's Kenny versus Letitia, I see them saving Letitia.
* If it's Kenny versus Kate, Kate might go because she's got tendonitis and she probably shouldn't be dancing.

Unless something weird happens like the judges may mark Willie down hard (oooh!) there really shouldn't be anyone else who should be in trouble. Apparently one of the judges has it in for Gabby (can't remember which one though).

No bet for me but I'd lean heavily on Kenny going.

Re: Strictly Come Dancing 2007 (BBC1)

Arlene and Craig want Kate Garraway out apparently. The producers won't let her go so easily.

Strictly Come Dancing | Kate Garraway | Reality TV row | The Sun |HomePage|Showbiz|TV

Elsewhere it's supposed to be a two-horse race between Alesha and Kelly to win the whole thing.

Ladbrokes' odds on who'll win the show:

Alesha Dixon 9/4
Kelly Brook 4/1
Gabby Logan 4/1
Matt D'Angelo 6/1
Gethin Jones 9/1
Penny Lancaster 10/1
John Barnes 14/1
Dominic Littlewood 16/1
Letitia Dean 33/1
Kate Garraway 50/1
Kenny Logan 50/1

Ladbrokes' odds on who'll be the fourth person eliminated:

Kate Garraway 2/1
Kenny Logan 3/1
Letitia Dean 4/1
John Barnes 5/1
Dominic Littlewood 10/1
Penny Lancaster 16/1
Gethin Jones 20/1
Matt D’Angelo 20/1
Gabby Logan 33/1
Alesha Dixon 50/1
Kelly Brook 50/1

Hmmm. A female to go to balance the male/female ratio? I dunno. I've got it into my head that Dominic Littlewood might be a shock evictee because of his slightly repugnant confession that he's 'spent the weekend' with someone on the show. It could easily be the tabloids doing their usual nasty piece of work in spreading vicious gossip about somebody though.

Strictly Come Dancing | Dominic Littlewood | Dom sparks a saucy whodunnit | The Sun |HomePage|Showbiz|TV

It's all bollocks. Kate should be eliminated by now but the public vote's been a bit weird. No Corrie fans to support Brian? John and Willie in the bottom two last week? It's all bollocks I tell ya. No bet.

Re: Strictly Come Dancing 2007 (BBC1)

I agree, the elimination market is a minefield, and I am suffering mental torment from the Kate Garraway fiasco of two weeks ago..

However one bet now interests me greatly is the top male market.. Matt D''Angelo has been in my opinion head and shoulders above the other males in the way his has entertained the public with his dancing. The show needs some male competition, and think he could well be the opposition to give them a go.....I was toying with the idea of backing him last week at 13/8, but in my usual hesitant style, didnt...

I intended going heavy on this, and the 6/4 on offer from Boylesport looks good enough..however they will only let me place a misely £46 on this market.. What sort of fucking liability is that to a bookmaker..You can understand maybe a bet on a market at 10/1, but ye gods..6 to fuckin 4 ???

Oh well...Anyone let me know if they can find 6/4 or better on best male please so I can top up..?

Matt D'Angelo to be Top Male - 6/4 (Boylesports)

Big plunge on Kate, so joined in and got Kate and John for a very small profit - carnage if any other goes...

Re: Strictly Come Dancing 2007 (BBC1)

Thats shit - although I guess Gabby never endeared herself to the audience due to her ultra-competitiveness...

Why the fuck do I still bother with this elimination market?
