Hell's Kitchen on ITV1 (Series Three!)

Nobody asked to see it back but we're getting a third helping and this time ITV have brought back the celebrity version.

Who are this year's contestants?

* Adele Silva
* Lee Ryan
* Barry McGuigan
* Abigail Clancy
* Rosie Boycott
* Jim Davidson
* Anneka Rice
* Paul Young
* Kelly LeBrock
* Brian Dowling

http://www.itv.com/Entertainment/rea...s/default.html

No odds on who'll be the outright winner yet but Skybet did have some specials as to what will happen during the series.

I did like the 2/1 on someone quitting and was going to have a small tickle that someone would quit. I think Jim Davidson seems to have the sort of temperament of someone who'll quit. If Skybet put the market back up, I'm gonna put some money on someone quitting.

In the first series Amanda Barrie, Dwain Chambers and Tommy Vance quit when Gordon Ramsey was head chef.

ITV's Kitchen celebrities can't stand the heat | Broadcast | MediaGuardian.co.uk

I can imagine Marco Pierre White will wind at least one of 'em up just as much.

OT: Who won series one back in 2004?

1. Jennifer Ellison
2. James Dreyfus
3. Matt Goss
4. Edwina Currie
5. Al Murray
6. Abi Titmuss
7. Amanda Barrie (quit the show after attempting to slap Gordon Ramsey!)
8. Belinda Carlisle
9. Tommy Vance (quit the show)
10. Dwain Chambers (quit the show)
11. Roger Cook (injured knee, was replaced by Tommy Vance)

Re: Hell's Kitchen on ITV1 (Series Three!)

Good stuff...Something to possibly get involved in now that Big Brother has finished (thankfully!)

I do like the look of the 2/1 for a quitter, although by the time I get chance to get on it (tonight) it'll either still be gone or much reduced !!

Hopefully Betfair will have a market on this.. Initial view grabs me instinctively towards Aneka Rice - she appears now as an homely-type who has probably spent a lot of time cooking since she disappeared from the telly about 10 years ago!!

I can also imagine Barry McGuigan getting stuck into this cookery lark.>!

Re: Hell's Kitchen on ITV1 (Series Three!)

Bet365 have instilled Brian Dowling as 3/1 favourite..

I don't get that... Unless he is a cookery wizard on the side, what is the justification for favouritism.. To me he looks like a tempremental drama queen who will wilt under the pressure of a kitchen environment surely..?

Re: Hell's Kitchen on ITV1 (Series Three!)

Think they're pricing him as a favourite as he's already proven as likeable and votable by the general public after his BB win a few years ago.

I like the look of that 2/1 on a quitter also.

Gonna have a little look at that one I think.

Skybet have only got the winner market up for this.

Any idea why they've taken the other markets down?

Re: Hell's Kitchen on ITV1 (Series Three!)

Well as I thought, Brian looks out of his depth here, and no amount of camp jokes will save him even at this early stage..

I didnt get 10's matched on Lee Ryan, so had to make do with 4 pts on him at 17/2 with Skybet just before the programme started. A calculated gamble but appears a good start as he is currently favourite. Boyband lead singer will always have a good run in reality programmes, and the fact that appears quite knowledgeable in the kitchen will also bode well.. However the less said about my 0.6 pts on Aneka at 10's and 0.4 pts on Kelly at 17's the better..

Of the rest - no-one stands out - Paul Young appears quietly confident and Adele Silva looks good enough to go far (and she is a soap star which again is a good point to have on your cv for reality programmes....)

Thought adele silva came out of the first one looking good , cocky (but not to much ) and very confident...
Might have a dabble on her.

Re: Hell's Kitchen on ITV1 (Series Three!)

Paul Young is a pretty decent cook(or at the very least won his heat of celebrity masterchef) and so has that box ticked...not sure about a fanbase tho. That's my lot for now having missed tonights show...will try to get up to speed this week.

Re: Hell's Kitchen on ITV1 (Series Three!)

Hmmm. Yesterday's pre-show Bettingzone Market Moves:

1430: Sky Bet has installed Brian Dowling as the early favourite at 11/4 to win the new series of Hell's Kitchen. Helen Jacob, Sky Bet's entertainment manager, said: "Big Brother two winner Brian is our early favourite.

"His popularity has already been tested with the public so irrespective of whether he can cook or not, he's bound to be entertaining and should go far.

"Celebrity Masterchef semi-finalist Paul Young also has a great chance, but should be careful not to take it too seriously as Hell's Kitchen is as much about personality as culinary prowess."

Hell's Kitchen: Brian Dowling 11/4, Paul Young 4/1, Barry McGuigan 11/2, Abigail Clancy 7/1, Anneka Rice 9/1, Jim Davidson 9/1, Rosie Boycott 11/1, Lee Ryan 11/1, Adele Silva 12/1, Kelly LeBrock 12/1.

The odds as they are right now:

Re: Hell's Kitchen on ITV1 (Series Three!)

Nothing really standing out as the would be chefs jossle for early positions..
A little bit of homophobic action between Jim and Brian but not much else...

Had a nibble Abigail at 6.2 just to enhance the 'ol betfair portfolio..

Lee Ryan quits 'Hell's Kitchen'

Updated: September 5 2007, 17:06 BST

Lee Ryan has quit Hell's Kitchen after a heated row with Marco Pierre White.

It is not known what prompted the quarrel or how long it lasted, but the former Blue singer left the kitchen to cool down once it had subsided. When he returned to the kitchen, White told him that he was no longer part of the team, prompting Ryan to quit the show.

Earlier today Ryan admitted that he was struggling with life on the ITV1 reality show, saying: "This isn't my job - it's a TV programme. It's okay but I am not 100% enjoying it."

ITV had planned to ask viewers to vote for their favourite celebrity chef on tonight's episode of the show, but is unknown whether the vote will now go ahead.

Nine celebrity chefs now remain on Hell's Kitchen, which continues tonight at 9pm on ITV1.

Re: Hell's Kitchen on ITV1 (Series Three!)

Brian and Barry are the two maket leaders after Abi and Adele drift out, the latter 2 being my two greens on my Betfair book..

Still not convinced about Brian, and his drama queen crying will wear thin shortly..(i hope!! )

Kelly Le Brock is the odds on favourite to go tonight near unbackable odds mind...

Anyhow - before she gets the boot tonight, let's see Kelly in her prime - before she became this plastic faced wierdo...

Re: Hell's Kitchen on ITV1 (Series Three!)

Only watched a couple of shows, and not looked at the markets recently, but I'd make Adele Silva the fav for this and would expect her to win. Fanbase will already be there(ok she's not a particularly likeable character on Emmerdale but she is atleast well know, and from what I've seen she's chucking herself right in at the deep end and looks prepared to put in the work.

The contrast between her getting her hands dirty in the kitchen and her spoilt character on Emmerdale works well too - expect too see a wee 'journey' from her which is always important.

And as it gets more stressful, guaranteed to turn on the waterworks...sorted Very much in the Jennifer Ellison mode(just not as hot.)

Let's have a look at the odds...mmm 5.0 ish on Betfair...good enough.
