Re: Rugby Union 2011 World Cup
The four pools
Pool A New Zealand, France, Tonga, Canada, Japan Pool B Argentina, England, Scotland, Georgia, Romania Pool C Australia, Ireland, Italy, Russia, United States Pool D South Africa, Wales, Fiji, Manu Samoa, Namibia I can't see anyone bar the host nation winning this one , but the value bet could be The field v N.Z. @ 2.25 with Stanjames New Zealand should win their group and play the runners up group B , ...could be England They are the side to win the final three big games , any one of the other sides could come a cropper on a poor day. Can't find any value in the other markets yet , perhaps we'll get a few pointers after the matches in the next month Post your thoughts , |

Re: Rugby Union 2011 World Cup
Argentina played very well in the last world cup but i haven't been keeping track in the interim.
Is it possible that the 126.0 on argentina could be value with a view to trade? they would need to win their group though. can they beat england? |

Re: Rugby Union 2011 World Cup
Could be wrong but can't see those odds dropping. They'd be expected to progress from the pool, so the odds are surely based on the fact that the bookmakers can't see Argentina getting 3 wins against top teams.
You'd assume they'd have to play New Zealand in quarter final (although possibly France if they win the group). Then more big teams to come. There win record against the top 8 teams looks to be around 25% or less and i think that's exagerated by playing against weaker line ups at times. |
