Re: Rugby league 4-6th March
Wigan and Saints catch my eye straight off, can't see Salford getting anywhere near Wigan tell the truth, good win for Salford last weekend after a terrible start to the season but its very rarely they manage to put in back to back performances and Wigan will be looking to get their season into gear after two dissapointing results against Saints a fortnight ago and St Georges last week in the world club challenge.
Firstly chucking away a convincing display and lead to saints then giving it all they had against the Aussies and coming out second best, two strong displays by Wigan and little to show for it. Against Salford they should be way to strong for them, quite a large handicap but well within Wigans reach. Wigan Win -14 @ 1.8's , I haven't looked anywhere else for the odds yet so shop around and you may get better than that, allthough to be fair Paddys last yr usually offered the best odds around. Saints will also be lookin to bounce back after a pretty dire performance last weekend against Warrington, they did fare better in the second half like they did against Wigan but it was too little too late and they are going to have to get out of that habit. Catalans aren't a bad outfit and its never easy going over there but they do not seem the same team they were last season and will have to up their game to compete with saints. If Saints come out of the blocks firing instead of taking 50 minutes to warm up then they could destroy that handicap. St Helens win -8 @ 1.9's I've got to go with Warrington too as that was a very impressive display against Saints last week and if they keep up that pace against a Leeds side who have look to have taken a backward step this season then they should triumph here. Thing with Rugby League though is a team rarely goes more than two or three games on the bounce without a win , and usually the underdog pulls off a suprise win. Nothing i can do about that here as Leed's form has been that dire it would be hard not to back against them especially against a team like Warrington, don't be suprised if there is an upset though. Warrington Win -6 @ 1.9's |

Re: Rugby league 4-6th March
Taking a chance here, with the Salford v Wigan game and going for a straight Salford win. I don't like the handicap as I feel it will either be a convincing Wigan win or a narrow Salford one. Wigan put a lot into the WCC and it is sometimes difficult to re - focus for Salford away. The reds were heavily beaten on thier last home outing and will be desperate to put things right. They could also be playing for their absent coach Shaun McRae ( taken 4 weeks off on medical grounds ) Squad wise Salford have their best group of players for a long time and I am a big fan of Half - Back Stefan Ratchford
