Wigan were very destructive inside the " red zone ", but in all other areas of the field I think it was more even than most are saying. Lots of Wigan's possession and territory came from Saints Mistakes and penalties. Saints did manage to break the line on occasions and also had some good chances on the Wigan line. The drops from Cunningham, Wilkin and Matty Smith were all at key stages and if I remember rightly the Wilkin drop when looking a try scorer came at 16-6.

Even with all the 'Ifs and buts' Samoan , I never once thought Wigan were going to get beat, they took the bull by the horns and completely outplayed Saints IMO, I thought for the first 20-30 mins Saints would have took the game to Wigan like Leeds did the week before, and Like i said in my original post I thought if Wigan were withing touching distance at half time they were in with a shout as Wigan are probbaly the fittest side in the League and do play at full pelt for 80 mins.

I was more than suprised to see Wigan come out flying and take control of the match for the first 20 mins, once they reached half time in the lead i could never see Saints coming back into it, allthough like you say if it wasn't for the odd mistake , one score then could have made all the difference confidence wise, but I always thought Wigan had it within themselves to go up another gear if need be.

Sam Tompkins was immense once more allthough at times he did show some immaturity, but what a player he is for the future.
