Re: Rugby League 3-5th Sep
Handicap betting, I'll add the other games as they appear, every bookie seems to have only tomorrows games listed..

Re: Rugby League 3-5th Sep
Both of Tomorrows matches are games both Wigan and Warrington should Breeze but bear in mind Wigan are allready the league winners and not matter what happens against Bradford they go into the playoffs as Numbero uno so get the pick of the draw.
On that basis I can't see wigan busting a gut tomorrow as they will want to come through this unscathed. Bradford themselves have nothing left to play for and are dire at the moment so should still get beat but the handicap may well favour them but they are that bad at the moment I won't be taking a chance on them allthough it would be my preferable bet if i had to pick one. Warrington v Harlequins is a lot more interesting as Warrington are still in with a chance of pinching 2nd spot from Saints, both are on the same number of points with only a difference of 6 pd (goal difference to us footy fans) in favour of Saints, so there's still plenty to play for as 2nd spot in the league has its benefits draw wise and because its probably going to come down to points scored, theres every incentive for Warrington to try and rack up a cricket score. And thats definately on the cards if they can kick on from their wembley performance last weekend when they destroyed Leeds, as Harlequins packed up in readiness for their holidays weeks ago. Warrington win -12 @ 1.90 |

Re: Rugby League 3-5th Sep
There is no love lost between Wigan and Bradford Slick ,and they hammered HKR last week. Wigan have given much better teams than Bradford hidings this season ,and Bradford have taken hiding of worse teams than Wigan - they even managed to lose at home to Salford.
If they get ahead early it could be a landslide! the -22 looks perfectly feasible and maybe the -26 @ 5/4 could be better. Cant make my mind up though with either the handicap or the total points over 55 @ 1/1 with 365. Bradford have taken some real mullerings but have always scored points themselves. Could be athrilling game and id be betting if it was on Sky. |

Re: Rugby League 3-5th Sep
I know Grim hence the reason why i won't be touching it, Just been talking to a wiganer and he has told its a full strength squad for tonight and there's no need to rest players as theve allready had a fortnight off and won't want to go into the playoffs having done nothing for three weeks, he reckons Wigan will have a good run out and batter Bradford , I'm tending to agree with him and yourself but still not touching it.

Re: Rugby League 3-5th Sep
Yip, allthough at half time I thought Wigan were going to anihilate them they were in control so much, it should have been a lot more had Richards not had Andy Farrels points scoring record on his mind so much as he was missing Kicks he usually slots away with ease. Still it was a wise move giving the game a wide berth.
The game of the weekend has to be Hull v Leeds as the winner gets that all inportant 4th place, Sean Longs return to action for Hull makes this encounter all the more tastey. This is where it all gets complicated as the Winner of this match will face Wigan in the next game in the play offs at the DW whilst the loser faces either Castleford or the Crusaders at home but should the team who finishes 4th get beat by Wigan they would get another chance in week 2 where they play at home against the winners of the elimination playoffs , i.e the winners of a mini tourny between the 5th, 6th, 7t and 8th placed teams. it is complicated i know but the easiest route for either Hull or Leeds would to be to finish 4th as you do get a 2nd chance , should you get beat in the next game. This has the makings of one of the games of the season but I think Leeds have something to prove here after going down to Warrington so easily in the Challenge cup final last weekend. Leeds will still be smarting and even with their growing injury list I expect them to come out fighting tomorrow trying to put down a marker for the playoffs. Leeds win for me on the level @ 1.91 |

Re: Rugby League 3-5th Sep
Not the easiest of games to watch for Saints, Wire, Cas or Crusaders fans and very nervy for anybody backing Saints at 1.01. But what an incredibale finish. Last league game at Knowsley Road and up pops Kieron Cunningham for a vital last second try. Standard of officiating tends to put me off having a serious bet, but I now find it hard to argue when League followers call it the greatest game in the World.

Re: Rugby League 3-5th Sep
No you're not, you have finished 4th so even if you get beat you get another chance read up as I explained it in my last post.
It is the greatest game in the world Samoan and I'm a die hard footy fan, but nothing can touch Rugby League for sheer honesty, effort, gamesmanship, excitement and anything else you care to throw at it, its the complete sporting game, trouble is its a northern game and most people associate Rugby League with the kick and clap shite thats played down south called Union. |

Re: Rugby League 3-5th Sep
Phew thank fuck we get another chance ive been confused with how it works as they change it all the time. Thats good then we can lose and still get another chance be better winning but i cant see it at the moment, we was poor yesterday against 12 men and another 3 injuries hopefully there not bad to keep them out of the play offs

Re: Rugby League 3-5th Sep
You could have 8 chances and in all honesty you wouldnt beat Wigan, Warrington, and probably Saints
![]() Wigan are head and shoulders clear imvho. Even the game they lost recently vs Warrington, they should have been 50 up at HT, it was just one of those nights - that wont happen again. Theyve steamrollered everyone this season and I expect the same through the playoffs. |
