Leigh Centurions -5.5 points to beat Sheffield Eagles @ 2.03 Betfair (1st half hcp)

This stands out to me as the Centurions are very fast starters and go for it from the start. They have played 10 home games this season and won 8, and in all 8 they have led by more than 6 at the break - including 3 weeks ago against tonights opponents (24-10), a game they went on to win 36-20, and almost dominated throughout. They led whitehaven by 18, Barrow by 12, Batley by 10, Widnes by 20, Keighley by 16, Toulouse by 18, Dewsbury by 16, & Sheffield by 14. The 2 games they didnt win, where against the top 2 teams Featherstone ,tailed by 4, ended up losing by 8, and Halifax, trailed by 6, lost by 6. Those 2 teams are well clear at the top and will battle out the grand final no doubt, so no no disgrace in those 2 results. Sheffield for their part are a middle of the road outfit, average at best, and though they can shock on their day, like when beating Featherstone, they were walloped here recently and the -5.5 looks a good bet to me. Id have it around 1.66, maybe even lower, so the 2.03, plenty available at 2.00, is a standout value bet !!

Seems a sensible enough bet to me Grim, allthough I wouldn't call Leigh fast starters, more lazy finishers as they always seem to fold near the death, its cost them on a number of occasions this season.

Am i right in thinking this is a playoff match Grim? as we have a Leigher in work and he mentioned summat about Leigh finsihing third last week so I presume the league has finished.

The difference between Superleague and the Championship is now just a huge void since the voting system was introduced, is doesn't bear thinking about as to what would happen to any of these teams should they get voted in next year.
