Re: Rugby League 29-30th May
Ehhm, I was expecting the Leeds v Wigan odds to be a lot closer than that, with Wigan being slight favourites even. I was tempted to go with Leeds as they have looked very strong lately, Wigan are still playing well but defensively they don't look as tight as they did a few weeks back and i was expecting Leeds to take advantage of it, at those odds i don't think i will bother as if anything the value lies with Wigan, bookies are giving nothing away here.
I'll go for Leeds but won't be touching it. Saints look a tempter on the handicap, its a pretty big one but they should crush Barrow by a cricket score, I'll risk the large handicap and go Saints -38 @ 1.91 I expect Catalans to beat Batley but i don't know by how much as their form has dipped pretty remarkably over the last three or four weeks, -18 would have been well within their reach then but i'm not so sure now so its another I won't be touching. Have to sticK with Warrington , they too are not firing on all cylinders like they once was but they are still winning which is the main thing, neither too are Bradford who are abit up and down lately. Still form wise Warrington do hold the upper hand. I'll go with the Warrington Win but am also tempted by the handicap, -6 does look pretty much near the mark mind and I want better odds than those shown, 1.91's should easily be available from other bookies. Just had a quick look and bet365 are offering 1.91's which i would have expected. Just noticed Saints are also -36 @ 1.91 with Stan James for anybody interested. |

Re: Rugby League 29-30th May
Barrow have some decent players and a good kicking game with Jamie Rooney. Good kicks are tough to defend, so if Barrow get close enough to the line, they should be capable of scoring around 18 points. Barrow also have lots of Super league experience, with the afore mentioned Rooney, along with Henderson, Catic, Roberts and Luisi. They also have a Saints old boy in Andy Bracek. There will also be a large contingent of Barrow fans to cheer them on. Saints to win for me, but I can see them easing off and winning something like 42 - 18.
Catalans are in disarray and none of them will have expereienced playing up the Mount Pleasant slope. If Batley can keep it tight, then not only can they cover the spread, they can actually win the game. Big first Ten Minutes, as if Catalan get in front they will be difficult to peg back. |
