Re: Super League 9-11th April
Huudersfield tonight in the Sky match..
Took them with a -20 , yes i could have got -16 but the price swayed me , EVS. Sounds like trouble in the Cas camp , two key players suspended by the club for tonights match , they state discipline issues . Not the biggest of squads and they have a 17 year old in the team.... Huddersfield - 20 EVS |

Re: Super League 9-11th April
Good luck Wins, I see Huddersfield are winning 12-0 but i don't know how longs left to play.
I'm always wary of the large handicaps as they are tough to pick, I think an exception to the norm is Salford v Wigan, another good win for Salford at the Willows last week against Huddersfield but they lack consistancy and with the sort of form Wigan are in this could end up a cricket score had Amos Roberts been fit, still whoever fills his boots will still get plenty of chances due to Wigans dominance and fantastic displays thus far this yr, I just can't see Salford getting anywhere near them. Wigan -14 @ 1.9 |

Re: Super League 9-11th April
Talking of not liking big handicaps i also think Saints should stuff Harlequins, since the beginning of the season Saints have been a bit hit and miss but since the spirited display against Wigan are showing signs of getting thier season into gear now they have a leader like Cunningham to guide them again.
They may have got beat by wigan but were totally dominant in the 2nd half and took that form into Mondays game against Castleford where they trrounced them. Harlequins who are sitting pretty at the bottom of the Superleague should expect soem of the same. St Helens -18 @ 1.9 I'm also tinkering with the idea of going for Hull , I can't see them beating leeds but can see them running them very close and that +12 looks very tempting. In fact i've changed my mind now as long and Tickle (theres a joke there somewhere) will be missing for Hull, both are experienced key players and will be missed. with the sort of form Leeds are in i can still see Hull beating them on the handicap but with those players missing it becomes a lot more risky bet. |

Re: Super League 9-11th April
I love that Saints price too slick and will be on it all day with a smile on my face. Hull aint all that IMO and will be found out by a bit of quality, minus Tickle then it looks like Leeds could cover that spread no problem

Re: Super League 9-11th April
things have not been well at the Willows for a while now Keema, I don't know what it is but they just 'don't look arsed' since Mcrae took over, they put in the odd good performance now and again but never seem to pick up from where they left off, it doesn't help mind when you have to sell your best players like Myler who was instrumental in all of salfords wins last year.
I've never been a great Mcrae fan anyhow and thought Wilkinson may have got shut of him last season in favour of Smith but Warrington jumped in first, i think Ellery Hanley could be worth taking a risk on mind, he seemed to have the midas touch in the lower leagues when he was coaching and i'm sure he would jump at the chance to try his hand in Superleague. |

Re: Super League 9-11th April
Well now you know they fukin hate McRae , they are getting like footballers and will be diving around next IMO. I think they should promote Hunte , he was in charge v Huddersfield and will cost nowt

Re: Super League 9-11th April
I wouldn't say they hate him Keema as they did at least try last yr, and they used our place for training so i used to see him and the team on a pretty much weekly basis and you wouldn't think anything was untoward but i did notice he was not very hands on and everything was left to coaches and fitness guru's.
He doesn't strike me as the sort of bloke who can inspire and gee up players, basically a lack of leadership, if anything I'd say there was a lack of respect rather than hatred towards him. |

Re: Super League 9-11th April
Thanks Slick for your informative write ups. They are much appreciated.
![]() I punted both Saints and Bradford. I was more worried about Bradford, but what do I know. Made a slight loss on the two, but got a good run for my money and no real damage done. Don't know if you saw but the Bradford match odds drifted to 1.96 just before the off. I used to get worried about things like that, but nowadays, it doesn't really put me off. I think that it pays to take prices like that over a season. Some bookies were laying 1.57 Bradford just an hour or so earlier. |

Re: Super League 9-11th April
Cheers Devo and welcome to TDP, I didn't see the Bradford match but did catch the Sainst game where Harlequins gave it a real good go, you sensed Saints were just doing enough to win and always in control but if the ball had bounced differently for Harlequins on a couple of occassions it could have been a different outcome.
Once saints got 12 points in front with about 10 mins to go I thought we could be in here but once again they took their foot of the pedal and let Harelquins back in, at least it shown Harelquins aren't that far away from their second win of the season. |
