Re: Rugby Union: H-Cup 5th of April

Gloucester v Munster

London Irish v Perpignan

Saracens v The Ospreys

Toulouse v Cardiff

As of today we have no idea on lineups etc so I've underlined those who I "feel" are the most likely semifinalists.
Shooting in the dark I know but don't worry, I'm not putting any money down yet.

I see a Toulouse v Munster Final. But maybe I'm barking........

I'm going to stick my neck out and say Perpignan to beat the faltering Irish. I fancy the ospreys overs sarries and can honestly see them make the final as they have home advantage for the semi. No one is going to stop toulouse from reaching the final.

I agree with you on 3 out of 4 , I think that Perpignan will defeat the London Irish , I think Gloucester are overated and Munster are available with skybet @2.2
Ospreys did a good job against Saracens in the EDF semi last week , Ospreys -3 @ 1.91 with skybet again

I understand where you & redroar are coming from re L I. .

A lot will depend on where Perpignan are in the T14 when matchday comes around, they will prioritise then.
Just one thing, of all the teams in the T14 USAP are the most flaky, very unreliable....
Away, with little or no support........................can't see it.

Just have to wait till the team sheet goes up

Re: Rugby Union: H-Cup 5th of April

Perpignan squad at more or less full strength. Very few in sickbay. They are also on a bit of a roll in the T14.

A month ago I would'nt have given them a snowball's chance in hell and I'm still a bit wary of backing them.

How bad/shaky are London Irish at the moment? or have they been saving themselves for the H-Cup?

Glouscester v Munster:

I've taken Munster 23/20. I could have got them at 6/4 but like a fool "did not get around to it" at the time.

Anyway, their evens now.
It should be close but I think experience will shade it for them.

Saracens v Ospreys:

Ospreys 3/5 is the safe bet.
A small wager on a neg h/cap may not be a bad idea either.
I'll see how things are saturday night.

Re: Rugby Union: H-Cup 5th of April

Toulouse v Cardiff:

Plenty of time yet, just a few musings .

Toulouse are sending out the best available team & they have home advantage. The weak link is Elissade at 10 but he did play that position at the start of his career (La Rochelle) and Kelleher is like a 4th back row so it evens out.
However they are under a lot of pressure to win something, anything this season.

They have a chance of 2 titles and it will not do to finish the year empty handed .
I don't know enough about the Cardiff team even though they look good on paper.

What are your thoughts on a Cardiff +13?

Just when you thought..........................................

Stringer on the bench with O'Leary at scrumhalf and a whisper that Payne will not be at full back and maybe not even on the bench .

We'll see .

Re: Rugby Union: H-Cup 5th of April

Same as next door, running late and lack info .

I've already backed Munster and I probably should'nt touch it but I'm taking London Irish as well. Can't imagine USAP giving thier all now they are in contention in the T14. There will be yellow cards though .

So,

London Irish 4/6 BS

Cardiff +13 EVS BS

Ospreys 3/5 BS

and a smaller bet on Ospreys -4 EVNS.

Re: Rugby Union: H-Cup 5th of April

Its a toughie all right. Irish have been faltering of late but are finished in the league so will be going all out in the heineken cup.

Perpignan are in fine fettle in france and have had some good away wins at stade and bourgoin I'm going to take match points over 37.5pts@ 10/11 on betfair.

Re: Rugby Union: H-Cup 5th of April

Looking at tomorrows games I cant see past Toulouse and the Ospreys.
Sarries will be better then the EDF cup game and ospreys have lost phillips and walker but I still think they'll have too much in the tank. They're probably a good shout to cover the 5pt spread also.
Toulouse are worring me a bit I think they will win but can they cover the 14pt spread? They've battered the lesser french teams this season but looked less impressive the last couple of times out.

Decisions, decisions

  • Was just thinking there, the best type of "fuck off " is the following; You`re playing astro, 5 a side, someone shouts "handball" and the "fuck off" response is fucking class.
