Re: Rugby Union: Guiness & Magners

I'm with DOD on connaucht + 10 and leinster -6 but I'm going to take Glasgow at match odds and put them all in a treble.Potentially some good money to be made in the Guiness tomorrow, I'll post all my info after tonights games.

Re: Rugby Union: Guiness & Magners

Practically the same as the good Doctor:

Glasgow -5 / Connacht +10 / Leinster -6.

& a treble on straight wins.

All bet with PP.

Bets of luck to all. .

Re: Rugby Union: Guiness & Magners

If I read it correctly the treble on the straight win came within one last minute Leinster penalty(which hit the post) of coming in...!

Re: Rugby Union: Guiness & Magners

Yeah, Leinster tanked it (again) versus Edinburgh, who defended well and lived off their wits.

Glasgow came from 23-13 down with two late tries so not too many complaints. They probably deserved the win overall though.

Connacht good value.

As for todays ML games:
Cardiff -13 with StanJames and Munster+5 with Betfred

In the GP:
Irish -2 with Stan James, Leicester -20 with SportingBet, Gloucester -29 with SportingBet, Bath-2 with StanJames

Re: Rugby Union: Guiness & Magners

Blues: Ben Blair; Jamie Roberts, Tom Shanklin, Gareth Thomas, Tom James; Nicky Robinson, Richie Rees; Mark Lewis (c), Martyn Williams, Maama Molitika, Paul Tito, Deiniol Jones, Taufa¿ao Filise, Gareth Williams, Gethin Jenkins.
Replacements: Gary Powell, T Rhys Thomas, Scott Morgan, Ben White, Jason Spice, Dai Flanagan, Marc Stcherbina. Ulster: M McCrea; T Bowe, A Trimble, R Dewey, M Bartholomeusz; N O'Connor, P Marshall; J Fitzpatrick, N Brady, T Court; C del Fava, R Caldwell; M McCullough, K Dawson, R Wilson.
Replacements: S Philpott, B Young, J Harrison, N Best, I Boss, P Steinmetz, D Cave.

Blues league form has been impressive of late and they'll be keen to finish the top welsh team. Bar Rush the Blues are close to full strength and you have to fancy their chances.

Ulster will be under big pressure to get something here with Connaucht winning last night. The form has been poor and away from home they have been stink.

The blues -14 for me

Re: Rugby Union: Guiness & Magners

Munster: Shaun Payne, Brian Carney, Barry Murphy, Kieran Lewis, Anthony Horgan, Paul Warwick, Tomas O'Leary; Federico Pucciariello, Frank Sheahan, Tony Buckley, Mick O'Driscoll, Paul O'Connell (capt), Donnacha Ryan, Niall Ronan, Denis Leamy.
Replacements: Jerry Flannery, Marcus Horan, Anthony Foley, David Wallace, Peter Stringer, Jeremy Manning, Keith Earls. Ospreys: Lee Byrne; Johnny Vaughton, Sonny Parker, Andrew Bishop, Shane Williams; James Hook, Justin Marshall; Duncan Jones, Huw Bennett, Cai Griffiths, Ian Gough, Ian Evans, Jonathan Thomas, Filo Tiatia (capt), Marty Holah.
Replacements: Ed Shervington, Andrew Millward, Lyndon Bateman, Ben Lewis, Gareth Owen, Jonathan Spratt, Aled Brew

Big changes for munster in the backline but the players coming in have plently of experience at this level and the heineken cup. The packs are evenly matched with the ospreys resting three Jones.

The ospreys have'nt won an away game in the league this year and Munster are available +6.5 on betfair, yes please

Munster +6.5pts

Re: Rugby Union: Guiness & Magners

Blues -13 is widely available (e.g. Better, Boylesports, Betdirect, stanJames) - those points add up, so worth opening an account. Stan James have great prices IMO on the rugby and are a must have bookie.
Ulster have 3 homes games left after today (including the midweek game versus Munster), so I doubt they'll be too worried about today. They're 4 points clear of Connach with two games in hand, so another win should see them safe - I'd say they'll have looked at the home games for that. Williams has already said he's going to use the away games to blood the younger players.

Re: Rugby Union: Guiness & Magners

Agree with you on Ulster DOD. & that midweek game will def. see a Munster "B" team.

Must have a look at SJ, use mainly BS & some PP myself.

Re: Rugby Union: Guiness & Magners

not so confident about Munster. Lewis has gone backwards big-time since he left Leinster. Murphy is a shadow of the player he was before he broke his leg. Carney and Horgan are has-beens. Warwick blows hot and cold. Pack looks solid - Ryan and Ronan usually deliver, as does Pucciarello. I'd be a lot happier if Tiatia wasn't playing for the O's.

The +6.5 price with Betfair is pants 1.67 BEFORE commission!
I'd far rather the +5 - Corals, Betfred, Tote, Bluesq, Skybet and 888 are all offering it.

Re: Rugby Union: Guiness & Magners

I'm getting mixed signals there DOD . You're tipping munster but you seem to be offering reasons for them to lose?? It's shit or get of the pot lad.

Seeing as lewis started about four games a season in his four years at leinster I dont see how he has gone backwards. Its Murphys first full start of the season but agree he has'nt hit the heights of 2006 but its a bit early to write him off. Plenty of people were saying Payne was a has been and I think its premature to claim Carney is the same. Horgan is more of a never has been, slowest winger in celtic league history.
