Re: Rugby Union: Guiness & Magners
not a whole lot being honest - just a hunch that a number of factors will come together:
1) Quins will win, but any win will do for them I suspect. Weather forecast not great, so probably not too high scoring 2) Quins rest a few players 3) Leeds took a thumping in their last two (away) games and will want to show something for their fans 4) Leeds remaining games are away to Irish and Gloucester and home to Wasps - this is their best chance of a win and they'll target it 5) Quins don't tend to run up really big scores, especially on the road 6) Quins play Irish (A), Sale (H) and Leicester (A) in their last games. The Irish and Sale games are sandwiched by the European games. I think Irish (unlikely to qualify for Europe from the league) will focus on the HEC game, while Sale will be coming off a tough semi-final away to Bath and have two games to play in between. In other words I'm not convinced Quins will give this game everything - grab the 4 points and move on will be the order of the day I suspect. |

Re: Rugby Union: Guiness & Magners
Leeds blew it big time. Showed Quins way too much respect and were a little unlucky to be behind with 30 mins to play. Confidence drained when Quins scored their second try and the match just drifted. Irish dominated the first half and then stepped off the gas a little

Re: Rugby Union: Guiness & Magners
Newcastle were less then awful as has been their pattern all season. I know flood and noon did'nt play today but it still baffles me how many players they are contributing to the england set up.

Re: Rugby Union: Guiness & Magners
Two mid week games because of fixture congestion with a fresh bath team against leicester and the steamrolling wasps playing sale. At first glance I'd say two home wins but will wait for team news before any predictions.
