Re: Rugby Union: Guiness & Magners
I'm with you on the Wasps game, they've been both brilliant and ruthless of late. Rember when Cipriani kicked that penalty from inside his own half against Sale to deprive them of the bonus!
Wasps -6 8pts
I think Irish will batter Leeds, my only question would be regarding their motivation, i.e. nothing to play for. For all those who can avail of a -15 spread I recommend they take it. -20 on paddy is a bit much for me.
Quins/Sale is a straight loser goes home battle. On paper sale would appear to have a much superior team but Dean Richards has his team playing some great rugby at the moment(back to leicester at the end of the season!!)
Quins scratch 7pts

Re: Rugby Union: Guiness & Magners
Gloucesters first win away to wasps in 18yrs
Leicester lucky to get a bonus point
Sale down to 13 men at one point and still hold on
Only Irish producing the goods
Form book ripped up, horrible day all round.Time for ten cans of guiness and much comfort eating.

Re: Rugby Union: Guiness & Magners
Dragon v Ospreys
Dragons available at -4 with Paddies will be my bet
Ospreys have underachieved in the Magners this season , but in this re-arranged game they have 17 players unavailable due to injuries and pre tour international training.
Local paper are calling this match
Dragons v Baby Ospreys , i'll be watching this one on S4C 7:25 tonight.
Both sides lost at the weekend , Ospreys lost to Edinburgh Friday evening , whilst the Dragons were hammered on Saturday by runaway leaders Leinster
I watched the Ospreys v Dragons on the t.v on Friday, 25 April 2008
When the Ospreys won 16-3 with their strongest team and the try was a definate forward pass missed by the ref , it was a poor match , I can see the Dragons overcoming that 4 points cap , Kevin Morgan can be a danger in tonight's match , Dragons centre Rhodri Gomer Davies looked a danger in that previous meeting before his injury.

Yep, Dragons for me. I like the look of Gomer Davies. Good strength and nice skills. Could be a real player in a year or two, and you'd finally have a 13 who can pass the ball.

somehow we've managed , how could our inside centres practice that miss pass move
the dragons insisted on keeping Charvis for this match , so I think that they are after the point to finish above Connacht

Re: Rugby Union: Guiness & Magners
Worst team in the league versus the most unreliable(currently). Can the ospreys seconds play any worse the their first team last weekend. I was going to give this one a miss considering i know nothing about the ospreys team but I cant believe the handicap is only dragons - 4. The bookies must really think the dragons suck.
Dragons -4 9pts

Re: Rugby Union: Guiness & Magners
half time update
Dragons 11-10 Ospreys
Kevin Morgan scored a try after 5 mins for Dragons , the Os down to 14 men then Gareth Owen of the Ospreys "avoids" 4 tacklers to give a simple offload to Connor [ who is off to the dragons next season ]
Latest news, Dragons only need one point from this game to be in the Heineken next season and not in a playoff as Italy have pulled out their third choice team from the playoff[strange]

Bets of luck to you all, I'm not touching this, put my stake on Euromillions, have about the same chance of success

Re: Rugby Union: Guiness & Magners
ft result Dragons 18-10 Ospreys
the bet comes in but the rugby was poor , man of the match was Charvis a 35 year old which says a lot of the others on the pitch , thankfully not many matches left in the Magners
reminder to self don't bet on Dragons again

Re: Rugby Union: Guiness & Magners
Hi lads, Newcastle v Wasps tonight.
Think Wasps got pretty badly stung at the weekend, will want to bite back. I think Newcastle had a "blip" at the weekend and can't see them fighting off a swarm of Wasps.
Safe bet is Wasps to win but I'll be taking them -9 with Boyle Sports.
Bets of luck to all.
