Re: Going Pro
Good luck.
Word of advice, don't try and make £100 a day or you will just add pressure to yourself. Its better IMO to do a set amount of bets then stop (win or lose). The night before you would know what games you are going to do, so you would pick say 5 and then only do those. Greed is a massive factor in this game. Anyhow i'm not going to keep giving you advice, lets just see how you do. Whats your edge on this game then? |

This is gonna end in tears. There's a lot of advise to be given but ..... HAI ODM, i see your name below. Nice to see this place is still here. Winrew still alive ? S'pose the telegram from Her Maj is keeping him going. That and the oxygen tank and beer at 12p down t'club. And the iron lung powered by gravy-fed whippets on a dynamo wheel. |

Raven:-
Yes £5000 is no where near enough to go Pro.But lets see how he does.. I am also 100% with you on using less than 2%, personally i would be using 0.5%-1%. let me explain why i said about a set amount of bets then stop. IF and that's a BIG IF Yorkie has a selection system set up then he would already know what his S/R,ROI etc is. If he stops after a set amount of bets he will know that he will profit in the LONG term.BUT if he stops only after a profit this will lead him into either diverting from the system or staking more than 1%-2% to get the loss back. Both would end in failure. Currently as long as his S/R is above 83% he will do fine. |

Re: Going Pro
Admittedly I just bet for fun, but I have no idea why people would think the bank should be larger and only bet Max 2% for Yorkie's strategy.
His current selections mean that on average he needs five correct bets to every one lost to stay even. Assuming this stays constant, if he had a bank of £10,000, he would need to have lost 100 bets in a row (I think the odds of this happening are highly unlikely) to not be able to carry on (or to put it another way on his last bet he would need a 500 bet winning streak to get back to even at this point). It seems far more sensible to have a lower bank in this case (rather than tie up/risk more money) to follow this strategy or do people really think it requires that many losses to decide a system isn't working? Anyway good luck Yorkie. |
