Last Bets Ever

I am an absolute twat. To cut a long story short, lost money today, tried to chase, lost more, bet BIG to win back, and lost again...

Decided it's probably best if i stop betting for a while (a long while actually). Decided as a going away present to myself, i'd have one last bash at an R2R. Preferrably i can make this go all the way to paying back my losses. If not, i hope i can get a good run as a nice send off to my betting career.

Hopefully i shall be having many more posts before the inevitable time, but i shall say goodbye now just in case the dreaded 0-0 comes in this game!

Damn! Sorry to hear about that mate. I think a lot of us have done the big loss, chase thing at some time or other (most of us more than once) and I know your pain bro.

Nothing I can say can make you feel any better this morning so I'll shut the fuck up.

Hope we don't lose you altogether. Why not keep a "mythical" record of bets from now on without actually putting the money on. Who knows, seeing how much money you're saving yourself could be theraputic

Sorry to hear that mate, as ODM said i'm sure most people have been there if they admit it. I certainly have, even gave up for a couple of years but now i just bet in small sums. I find trying to build £10 up to a bigger sum rather than £100 just as challenging but without the risks.
I dont look at it as a way of making money anymore, as i'm sure there are only a few people who manage to make consistent profits but more of a challenge to see how far i can go

Why not split your £100 and have 10 £10 challenges and see how far you can go?

Good point that. Whenever I've suffered a particularly hurtful loss (not necessarily a large amount but a last minute penalty or disallowed goal or something or a faller at the last fence) and I feel disallusioned with gambling, I reduce my stakes to an absolute minimum and I find I get pretty much the same buzz regardless of the amounts involved.

Cheers guys. Yeah was maybe a bit drunk when i wrote that... To be honest i've tried giving up before and it's just a bit impossible!! Will definitely be stopping any big stakes bets tho for the forseeable. Sure i'll still manage to have an acca at the weekend and maybe an interest punt if i'm watchin a game live.

Off to Africa with the work at the start of Jan for a few months, so that will give me a nice detox, and we'll see what happens after that.

In the meantime, lets hope for nice profit in the next couple o week!
